I can't remember when I WASN'T a big Frank Sinatra fan, but I do remember that when I first heard this beautiful song, All The Way, I was very young and I thought it was quite racy! A lot of water under the bridge since that time, I grew up, learned what love is, but I never got tired of hearing Sinatra sing this beautiful song! It still touches a soft spot in my heart today, and the title means far more than it did so many years ago.
I like all Frank sinatra 's songs but All the way is my best. 2:07 very funny talking about himself in some of his movie seens. i really enjoyed the song and his critics about himself. Nice share Thanks so Much : )
"The joker is wild" en el mundo Hispano se conoció como "La máscara del dolor" se estrenó en 1957 con Frank Sinatra , Mitzi Gaynor y Jeanne Crain, de ahí es "All the way" la canción de Sammy Cahn y James Van Heusen. Luego Sinatra presenta películas suyas y se ríe de ellas. Muy buen video.
He was all that a woman could dream of. He had that charisma about him. He showed RESPECT for the ladies. When men do that they have their lady wrapped around their finger.
He cheated on his wives all the time. Especially poor Nancy. His infidelities are famous. He leveled out in his old age and never cheated on his last wife.
Sinatra was, of course, a marvelous actor when he was committed to the project and the director and script was right,i.e. John Frankenheimer's "The Manchurian Candidate" and Zinnemann's "From Here To Eternity", for which he won an Oscar. Parenthetically, he maintained a close relationship with Cary Grant for the remainder of his life and Frank presented Grant with his Life Achievement Oscar in 1970.
Compare this performance of All the Way with the one on TH-cam from 1957. Sinatra still had style here, but in terms of his voice, nothing lasts forever.
This tv special was filmed when he had acute laryngitis. Listen to the A Man Alone album from the same year. His voice was still velvety but not for much longer.
When a person ages, your body changes, throat muscles may become lax, among many bodily reactions that age brings, but Sinatra's voice improved with age, probably because he had LIVED more and you could hear emotion in his voice that was appropriate with the words he was singing. Very late in his career, he forgot the lyrics once while performing on stage, and he knew it was time to hang it up. I hear many artists today, who SHOULD have done that but for whatever reason, they just did not. We all have our peak performance years but very few people recognize that they SHOULD decide to quit at the end of that period in their career. Sadly, it would be better if they did! There are as many reasons for human behavior as there are people, but two very poignant reasons to continue performing are EGO and MONEY, but also, the need for constant approval and adoration from your audience. Sinatra no longer needed any of that, he'd had it for a very long time, but he was a perfectionist, and refused to continue unless he was at his best and that's when he decided to hang it up for good!
When I first heard this song, I cried. So beautiful. Nowadays they don't make em like this anymore. It's the same ol' shit: Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky, Fetty Wap, Charli XCX, Meghan Trainor, Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, One Direction, and Maroon 5. Time to trade in those 'artists' for the real artists of music: Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Zappa.
Those you named are NOT really musical artists, they're simply performers and none of them would be worth much on stage without all their tricks of the trade, pyrotechniques, and back-up singers, on stage and in the studios. Just performers, not really true talents. Maybe one or two in the industry, but most -- NO!
My favorite song since I was a little girl. . . sung by my favorite singer since I was 7 and I am now 61. Frank - te voglio bene ancora.
Unforgettable Frank Sinatra.
There's something about the delivery of words, lyrics, melody by Frank. It toches you. You're so missed Frank. ♥️
One way of singing, sincere, quiet, sentimental, is the VOICE

Despite the cheating never ceased to take care of her and their children, and yes, was a hunk.
That great man!
I love this man or loved him. He was the greatest,
