Yet he's still clearly the 3rd greatest SG of all time and if LBJ had shown up in 2011, Wade would've won a second finals MVP and would be much closer to Kobe all time and probably a top 15 player all time.

Wade was indeed special and is absolutely valid as One of the 5 best 2 guards ever, yet for the Mamba to be this battle wary in the league, from going against the MJ's, the AI, the Miller's, the Carters, Roy's, & Mgrady's,...for him to still be battling the new era of greatness on the waning end of his prime but still at his best peak condition, giving it his all, working hard on both ends...is truly epic.
Wade is a top 3 SG without question. Nobody even disputes that. And in this game he led a bunch of scrubs (outside of Haslem) to a win over the most stacked team in the league.

He had defensive player of the year stolen from him so many times. One key reason why he was one of the best shooting guards was because he had the best defense in hos position. He was always better defensively than Kobe. But sometimes the awards are biases given.

It's amazing how much the shooting guard position has influenced the game of basketball. These 2 along with MJ are the reason why everybody wanted to play basketball during this time. They had everything in the book both offensively and defensively: footwork, jumpshot, strength, stamina, speed, fundamentals, and just made the game so fun to watch with their style of play.
And the DEFENSE. That part of the game isn't emphasized enough anymore. All 3 of them were hell on that end of the floor. They could all give u 50. Then have 3 steals and 2 blocks to go with it
2008-2009 Wade was the best player in the planet period. And during his entire career, he was the top 3 top 5 player in the league consistently season after season.. no only because he was unstoppable in offense, but he was a tremendous defender as well. Top shot blocking guard under 6'5
This was 2 years ago but imma still respond. My favorite player ever. He had it all, scoring ability, clutch factor, and insane defense. He had averaged 30 ppg for multiple seasons. The best shot blocking guard to ever play the game. He was a true rival to Kobe. Imagine if he had longevity.

At this point in time Kobe was unstoppable. It looks so easy for him, half the time he just catches the ball in the post, sits there lazily, and then blows the defender or hits a tough pull-up. Truly one of the greats.
Kobe is a smooth player, like that song of Michael Jackson, Smooth Criminal, that's Kobe. He stays focus on his game and he just lets the good times rose. R.I.P Kobe. I have to come back and appreciate this game. I was only ten back in 2008 but I remember this particular game where both Dwayne and Kobe were monsters. Back in the day, everyone talked about D Wade, at one point he was more popular than Kobe. I was in New England and D Wade before Bron's Heat trade was arguably the most popular player in the league.
Kobe Bryant was unstoppable. I loved seeing these two go at it. Over their careers Kobe would get the edge but this W was a nice experience. Prime Wade was tough to beat.
Wade could of easily had an even better overall career... ..had he not suffered so many injuries like he did in 07 and 08 on his shoulder and left knee.. also during the big three era, wade had to miss a string of games throughput the years due to his left knee in particular. A perfect example of his career would be in the 2012 second round playoffs against the pacers.. wade was only 2-13 fg in game 3 had his knee drained afterwards, then scored 30, 28 and 41 points in the next three games all victories. The question is how much better would he have been? We don’t really know..

It's amazing how much the shooting guard position has influenced the game of basketball. These 2 along with MJ are the reason why everybody wanted to play basketball during this time. They had everything in the book both offensively and defensively: footwork, jumpshot, strength, stamina, speed, fundamentals, and just made the game so fun to watch with their style of play.
And the DEFENSE. That part of the game isn't emphasized enough anymore. All 3 of them were hell on that end of the floor. They could all give u 50. Then have 3 steals and 2 blocks to go with it

2008-2009 Wade was the best player in the planet period. And during his entire career, he was the top 3 top 5 player in the league consistently season after season.. no only because he was unstoppable in offense, but he was a tremendous defender as well. Top shot blocking guard under 6'5
This was 2 years ago but imma still respond. My favorite player ever. He had it all, scoring ability, clutch factor, and insane defense. He had averaged 30 ppg for multiple seasons. The best shot blocking guard to ever play the game. He was a true rival to Kobe. Imagine if he had longevity.

At this point in time Kobe was unstoppable. It looks so easy for him, half the time he just catches the ball in the post, sits there lazily, and then blows the defender or hits a tough pull-up. Truly one of the greats.

..had he not suffered so many injuries like he did in 07 and 08 on his shoulder and left knee.. also during the big three era, wade had to miss a string of games throughput the years due to his left knee in particular.
A perfect example of his career would be in the 2012 second round playoffs against the pacers.. wade was only 2-13 fg in game 3 had his knee drained afterwards, then scored 30, 28 and 41 points in the next three games all victories.
The question is how much better would he have been? We don’t really know..

Wade on the other hand had his left meniscus REMOVED before even stepping foot on the nba court back when he was in Marquette.
He even quoted in 2014, “Whatever way you look at it, I'm going into my 11th season, there's lots of guys who haven't made it this far."
