Wow this is out of nowhere lol. Didn’t know you guys planned on watching sao. Even though the show gets a lot of hate, I still love it. It might not be better than other shows but it’s one show that got me DEEPLY into anime. Also this show does not have a manga it has light novels.
@Spiral Nemesis Depends on what you mean. Ep 1-13 is amazing, 14+ is garbage. GGO is good, the after arc is awful. And I havent seen Alicization, BUT i did watch the movie in theaters a few years back when it came out and was pretty good. There was a rumor that the author was going to rewrite SAO first season because he knows his writting has gotten better and he wants to improve. If SAO kept the flow 1-13 had, it could have definitely have been top 10 anime.

One of these days though ill have to just make a steak, get something good to drink and just sit down and watch it. Also, I do agree it gets weird hate. I wanna know who started the hate on SAO, or how it started. I get not liking the 2nd half, like me, but people just outright hate the entire thing because of 1 arc.

I personally find the story of SAO not in a level as FMAB (my personal favourite) but SAO is overall a cool anime that I found fun to watch and enjoyed. I can't wait to see them watch it. Especially episode 3

The in game parts of s2 arent bad, but literally everything else is.

What i am comparing LogHorizon to sao is to the first season of sao, yes war of the underworld is coming out but that's so far way, there's gun gale online and movies and other stuff before that that they have to watch. Overall Gun gale online is better then SAO first 2 seasons to me.

omg, I played Ragnarök in all my Miles and adolescence and when SAO was released and I met him I fell in love with him. he reminded me of all my moments lived in Ragnarök online. nowadays SAO is something very big for me in many ways. has been with me since 2012

Sao season 1 was a masterclass in 2012 , i would prefer them to stay in the first game and evolve slowly, better than finish the game in 14 ep and start new arc with new game . We would never feel the scare of death in a video game again...😔

The pain inhibitor blocks almost all pain in SAO, even if a limb is cut off it only mildy hurts
@vetoast they don't feel pain, but a numbing feeling, it's clearly described in the novel

People literally started watching it because of the synopsis, and then 13 minutes in it goes to shitty real life, with imprisonment, weird almost rape scenes, an almost forced marriage, incest, and some other weird shit. The in game parts of s2 arent bad, but literally everything else is.

What i am comparing LogHorizon to sao is to the first season of sao, yes war of the underworld is coming out but that's so far way, there's gun gale online and movies and other stuff before that that they have to watch.
Overall Gun gale online is better then SAO first 2 seasons to me.

omg, I played Ragnarök in all my Miles and adolescence and when SAO was released and I met him I fell in love with him. he reminded me of all my moments lived in Ragnarök online. nowadays SAO is something very big for me in many ways. has been with me since 2012

Sao season 1 was a masterclass in 2012 , i would prefer them to stay in the first game and evolve slowly, better than finish the game in 14 ep and start new arc with new game . We would never feel the scare of death in a video game again...😔
