Stepping to the tractor you won't ever get hit with flying debris if something goes wrong. You also will never loose a finger like if you can touch the wood and control at the same time. Nice setup
Great video. I have a 5 ton electric splitter and it splits all my hardwood and softwood. If I was building that I would want a longer stroke. But that’s just me. Having the hoses run to the middle of the tractor and having to use the loader valve to do the splitting is a great safety feature Dash. Keeps you away from the splitting and ram. Much less chance of getting hurt. Just my thoughts. Everybody’s is different. Have a great day.
Thanks, Noel! I never really thought about it that way of it being safer by standing further away, but you're absolutely right, it is safer. I think this cylinder is more than enough power to split any pieces of wood I throw at it. Much like your 5 ton is. I appreciate your thoughts and commentary. Have an awesome day!
Hey Dash I broke down and bought the Deere dual rear remote kit for my 2038R and could have saved on aftermarket but man deere makes it so easy as all the connections are already on the tractor and all the parts fit perfect. Was it worth it? I'm not sure, but I do have dual remotes now and everything looks factory. I wanted a hydraulic too link and a tilt for my back blade and the box blade
Nice! I like your setup Jim. I think I will add some remotes to the back of mine at some point as well. I have a diverter up front for my grapple and I really like it. I too want a hydraulic top link. Id like at least 2 remotes just like your set up.
@@TheLittleGreenTractor It does make your tractor life easier and more versatility. My next project is a cylinder to change the angle of my back blade from my seat lol
I just picked up a new to me 1023e yesterday. I enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks! I appreciate the effort it takes to make the video and thanks for all the details! Jim
No problem, Jim! I hope its useful information!

Very nice !
What if you used your grapple 3rd on valve, and add a secondary switch at the back. Than add you could plug / unplug it if your doing log splitting
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
