I love the voiceover format video. It is so much more valuable than the other 99% of TH-cam hunting videos where anything worth explaining is whispered into a camera.
I was able to get within shooting range of a herd by similar tactics. When I got close enough, I would only move when he bugled. I ended up 50 yards but never had a clear shot. A cow I didn't see ended up blowing it all up but it was heart thumping fun!
Your videos remind me of the old Primos videos. My dad would watch them for 2 months before season analyzing every part. 5 more days till hunting starts!
I love watching these videos. I think it's awesome that they say thanks to the Lord on their hunts and aren't ashamed to do so. Although I didn't see it in this video, I've seen them do it in several other videos. It makes me want to be more like them.
What can I say that has not already been said? I know...I love these videos...I love elk hunting and it's a good time to be an Elk Hunter! Montana bound 6 days and counting!!!
Applied a similar tactic out west last weekend. Only difference is that they weren't bugling so we had to rely on the sound of breaking branches and swishing brush. Play the wind and keep moving in.

@@mattmendonza right. Most people and I mean most people you come in to contact with while hunting will tell you that they haven’t even seen anything. Then there are those that are in them all day long. Here is the thing the outcome often is the same. More often than not. This year I got busted or tricked by the same bull four times. The forth time I shot a cow at 20 feet. Yes busted again but down to the wire I filled my freezer. Getting a big bull is not that easy. Sometimes it’s just a matter of luck. Most times it’s determination. I also missed out on a bull of a lifetime. I called an out of state hunter into my setup. Blowing out the 350 + bull I had at 100 yards. I’m not sure how painful this was to watch but in real life you miss way more than you hit.
This is my strategy. Once you call, you not only located other animals, but they also located you. And now you HAVE to play the wind and HAVE to have cover and HAVE to be precise in when you draw. Why? Bc you called and that animal that gas super senses is no looking for his own but yet lives a life, 24/7, in fear of primal animals. Good luck noise makers

I shot a cow this year that busted me. I was 20 feet from her. Just not close enough for the bull.
Getting ready for Elk season in 2 weeks…Thanks for posting the cool video! It’s not always a kill shot that makes it a great video to watch and learn!
This is a scam below

Exciting hunt ☺️
thanks for sharing
Corey, are you feeling okay? Leave your calls at home!
That was awesome. The one you saw was big! The herd Bull? Huge?
Is the herding bugle the best to attract a bull
Still a fun spot to be in.
Just curious if you have ever hunted caribou/moose also. If so, how thick are elk hides compared to caribou? What about moose to elk?
great info cory
That is so cool,
Tick tock tick tock It’s September 1st
