Best episode of season 2 so far - gave us so much more insight into Sae and Rin's relationship, what motivates both of them and the rift in their bond created after Sae came back from Spain.
Sae basically saw how half assed his bro ambition is and got pissed off especially after seeing how monstrous foreign players are. (Bro prob saw Loki and got destroyed)
@@rashta5817 damnnn i have a feeling soon loki will surpass noa himself and isagi will have new goal which will be surpass loki in world cup arc i mean bro literallly said "kaiser impact?? too slow"
You're right, Magy, in a way Sae went with the "tough love" act a bit too far, making the "break up" moment anime levels of dramatic. At that age, Rin was old enough to understand what Sae saw during his training period at the Royale Academy in Spain - there are much better players than him out there so the whole "be the second best after me" mentality was faulty and it wouldn't have helped Rin at all. Sae realized how childish his ambition was only after growing up, like you mentioned, and experiencing what the world had to offer outside of Japan football. He basically influenced Rin to turn into a "loser" with the whole "be the second best after me" spiel. Even after Sae returned, he still tried to gently steer Rin towards a more ambitious goal by saying "I'm gonna become the best midfielder in the world and you will be the best striker" - that way, they both can give their all towards becoming the best, even if by this point Sae realized he might very well not become "the best" at anything, after he saw how much better some players are out there. Thank you for the phenomenal reaction, commentary and discussion, you did an incredible job ❤
Surely Sae trying to push Rin to his limits. He understands after training in Spain that Rin cant make it while aiming to become second best or playing for just being able to play with his brother.
Rin stronger than me because if my brother who is my only friend and in my entire existence who has never once been mean to me says those things and that I'm useless I might've had to off myself
Sae seeks to give his brother a reality check because as a striker he sees more potential in Rin knowing that the world of soccer outside of Japan is more complicated. And maybe he adopted a cooler attitude to develop a more ambitious and individualistic ego in Rin. if he had done it the right way, it wouldn't have worked for Rin.
While I do believe say went a little to far in the end of their convo I can understand him. He just returned home with his reality of being best striker shattered and he tries to talk to Rin who isn't listening and focused on their old dream and he just won't stop. When they were younger Sae eyes widen when he hears Rin talk about the bad area and realizes he sees the game different then later they widens when he here that Rin doesn't have the ambition to be number 1 and is content with just being the little brother of the best which probably shatters his heart again first coming to the realization I have the ambition but still doesn't have that instinct it takes to become the number 1 striker and then that his little bro who has this instinct he lacks doesn't have the ambition. You can become great even while lack ambition but you can't train to game that instinct either you have it or you don't. Crashing out because of a position change is crazy tho because Rin doesnt seem all that mad about what he said in the end but rather because he switched position it destroyed this dream Rin had in his head, which is weird because he said we can be the best Midfield striker duo so you would still be recieving his passes just instead of it say FW next to his name on the stat sheet it would say MF which makes me feel like RIns entire thing makes him a joke he 16 not 6 it seem like an overreact
pls, pls, pls react to Steven Universe, even though the first season is a bit silly, I swear you'll love it. I cried watching, it’s beautiful and so deep in so many ways!
that antenna-head boy is going to be crazy. Take your popcorn and be amazed

The animation is best this episode but the animators cut the best panel of shidou. I really wanted to see that scene

We’re about to see the greatest tag team in this series
The only thing i like about bluelock s2 is nagi goal , rin and sae one on one shot
Ayo. Got an oldie for ya. Criminally underrated imo. So imma just bait you with 2 words: yakuza. Mermaid.
Sae was right...rin could not still use him like that to play football
