Things that I learned because I need to remember this for later:) 1: Engage your core! 2: Use that muscle in between your shoulder blades (I ride like a hunchback) 3: Long spots aren't horrible as long as you go with the horse! (the horse I ride is like Leo, so this applies to me lol) 4: (I NEEED THIS SO MUCH) Counter bend = outside indirect rein, inside opening rein, outside leg! *side note* I always see long spots too😭 I used to see the deep distances, but I ride a horse that LOVES a good long spot so I've *aDjUsTeD* 5: SO THAT'S WHY I SEE LONG DISTANCES! I lean forward so much😬 40:23 LITERALLY ME WHEN I REALIZE IM HUNCHBACKING I learned lots more but I didn't write it down:( My attention span is short but ur the exception😘 also, I know I've been commenting a "lot" on old videos so sorry about that🤣😅
this was actually so helpful!!! i watched almost all of it and you gave some really good tips i loved it! i feel u when you talk ab the body flop i do that a LOT 😂
im so glad it was helpful!! yeah the flopping was a hard habit to break and im still working on it tbh but maybe ill make a video on it when im finally over it
I watch these videos all the time before my lessons! I have a green 6yr old, and she can be very difficult some times. These are so helpful! Thank you ❤
Idk way but this video was so interesting! Like originally I was going to have this as background nose as a fall asleep but I watched the whole things lol.
I am not a jumper by any means at all I am a barrel racer and like all around western rider so when I do jump it’s chaotic. I totally feel how stressed out you were and the pain of not getting things right and wanting to continue until you get it right. I will literally be on one half of the arena cantering circles until I get a nice lope of it.
@@carokeating oml forgot to add that I’m like half yelling at them bc I have a short temper nd these horses are insane (well like 2 but yk). Should probably add that I don’t over use my cues or pull a ton. I just get after them nicely for not doing what I clearly asked for I make them redo it
girl i have like the exact opposite problems in trot than you😭 i feel like i can sit the trot rlly well and then i post and i feel SO FLOPPY but when i watch the videos back i look decent💀
it helped me to focus on having a controlled movement close to the saddle (basically just not posting as high) but i still have days where i feel like im just flopping around up there so idk
