UPDATE: As of Deimos Arcana today, capture ratings now DO affect rewards. Good captures will give double tags, and Perfect captures give Triple. Achieve this by capturing the animal as quickly as possible, with a minimum of fear or harm coming to it. Ivara remains an ideal choice for this.

Maybe add an annotation (maybe that doesn't exist in TH-cam anymore actually? Haven't seen them in a while now that I think about it...). Also the affinity range (so shared capture range) is somewhere around 100-200 meters now.
I've started using conservation to farm Fortuna standing and I've just found out about the echo lure technique removing the unwanted track locations. That's sure to improve my hunts. Very helpful guide.

Great guide! I always use the Free Roam method and fly around the edge with the tranq rifle equipped because then the animals glow a bit and this makes it easier to spot them

In the video I mainly use the Orokin palette (I use that for most frames actually). Where I need a black, it's the Smoke palette. In the thumbnail, that one uses Smoke and Halloween palettes.

Very helpful video. But I've got a question: You know the three options for capturing an animal? The tranquilizer, the lure and the smell or idk what that is. They all have those shortcut numbers on them, 1, 2 and 3. But for some reason my tranquilizer (and fishing spear) does not have that 1 up there, witch means I have to take them from my consumables everytime I want to change them. Do you know what could it be?
All I can suggest is to check your keybindings. Even if you haven't changed these ones directly, changing others (even by accident) can lead to keybinds vanishing.
The currency is standing, which you gain from various activities such as doing bounties for that faction. The tranq rifle is the same for all 3 open worlds so you only have to buy one from any faction to cover all animals.
i can't catch one of these god damn panzy cats if my life depended on it. The whole way the lures and pheromones are executed is such a weird design choice. it's akward and not really fun. Once i get my Vulpaphyla I'm never hunting for another cat. Ever.

You can use the echo lure in your archwing. Just dont pull out the echo lure until you deploy your wings.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind enemy sense mods enhancing this, even if it only counted ones on the frame for some reason rather than companion.
And the actual footprints are the same color as the ground and fade in only right as you approach it. Disappear sometimes. Just a mess I hate it

You can use other frames, just try to stay low profile. It's best to clear all nearby enemies before using the echo lure.
