Thanks for taking the time to shoot the video. The vertical frame piece on my 94 chevy g20 van window is crimped/bent and causing wind noise. This helps.
Great products. I don’t ever see myself paying four Benjamin’s for some new vent windows though. Two Jackson’s for two used original pair, I can do however!
I believe a 340 it a great engine all though I've never had one. The reason I like Magnum engines so much is i can get one used that's not used up, like an LA, then throw some parts at it and it makes good power for cheap. The price of a rebuild is too high when you consider you can get a used 360 for $150-400. After the valiant is on the road I'm going to be pushing these 360's to their stock limits to see what they are capable of. I'm not giving away my ideas but it will be interesting. Hahaha
Tim, I thought Alex did a good job showing this from start to finish. The windows came from LMC Truck but from what I understand they’re no longer available as a complete assembly. Best of luck.
Hi guys, thanks for the video, very useful. I did rebuild my passenger vent window with a kit from precision and after installing it I decided to have the outer rubber sides paced on the outside of both sides of the door, can you send me a picture of your install showing the detail of the rubber as it overlaps the metal or did you placed on the inside of the metal part of the door?. Hope this makes sense to you
@@TheGasTapare you serious I just got excited about replacing my wind windows LMC has a wing window assembly for $229 is that the hole wing window with weather stripping and everything
Were you able to get the top screw lined up on the passenger side or have any tips on lining it up? Also when did you get those? I tried to buy them for my 86 c-10 and they say they have been sold out for months and aren't sure when or if they will have them again. Bummer
@@05EVORS , I ended up having to drill two holes in each door. I feel like it may have been the new doors that I bought from Summit Racing, rather than the vent windows. One of the holes on each door didn't even exist. Other than that, the vent windows are great!
Watching your excellent video from Oslo, Norway. Are you able to find new vent windows for my -91 G30 van as well? Here in Norway they were discontinued years ago, they say.
www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/vent-window/cc-1973-87-vent-window-components Of course, you need to pick the year and model for your vehicle. The full assembly says is back ordered. But you can purchase individual pieces if needed.

The word you're looking for is "their" as in "their business", fyi, may help in business purchases.
Thanks man! makes a difference when you see someone else do it before taking the plunge by yourself! WELL DONE!!!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the video. It helped get my old 85 one step closer to being finished
This is way better than buying only the rubber and try to fit the stupid thing in. Nice truck by the way
Did the same thing and lived to regret it. The window pane is pretty expensive though.

Great video. I followed along and got both my vent windows out of my 86. Now I am waiting on the rivet kit to come in so I can rebuild them.
I want to see the Valiant next ! Great video, good instruction, great job guys ! Another great video.
That is a beautiful truck, hope I can get mine looking the good eventually.
Nice job, looking great. Got some Florida weather here in Wales at last. Well almost, it got up to 70f today!!
its a toasty 94 here today
3:35 I laughed when you said without scratching the paint, that would matter zero on my truck. Yours is sweet though! Thanks for the video
I would love to have the old ones, much better then mine.
Hey awesome video Guys. Thanks for posting it, this is going to help out a LOT. Keep up the awesome work with the square body!
Looking good man! I been debating whether to replace like you did or do the tedious work of replacing the weather strip. I have a 79K5
Where did you purchase the window I’m looking for one of a Chevy 1979 camper special
Your paint looks Amazing
Great products. I don’t ever see myself paying four Benjamin’s for some new vent windows though. Two Jackson’s for two used original pair, I can do however!
FYI. The weather strip dose not overlap the door frame, it goes inside the frame.
Thanks
That's the reason the vertical bolt hole isn't lining up perfect
Always compare the old to the new for just this problem. Easier to make adjustments on some things before installation.
Thanks man saved my ass on my longbed!
I’m just wondering where you found the entire vent window assembly, I can’t seem to find any for my 87 V25
LMC Truck.
I'd like to see the Valiant. Im also like to hear your thoughts on the 340. I know your a 360 guy. Thanks for the video. One of my favorite channels.

So do you have to take the bracket off for the mirror and whats the part numbers for the complete vent windows and prices? Thanks
Great video! Maybe some sound deadening, if the k10 doesn’t have any?
It could probably use some
Good info. Just wish you would of showed when you were taking it out. Also would be good to know where you got window and the price

was there a thin strip of foam along the edge that meets the door ? There is some generally to stop wind noise.
No foam on these

The rubber was tucked in on the old seal and with the new one the rubber lays on the outside? Is that the correct install?
Nice job guys. Where can I order these complete new vent window with frame for my M1009 K5? Greetings from Germany.
To my knowledge, they are discontinued.

I must be missing something here I can't seem to get mine free. Did you take the door window and stuff out on the end?
I’m not sure of your issue without seeing it. We showed every step needed to remove ours. This main window stayed in.
Where is everyone buying the replacement vent windows at?! I’ve got a 87 & 83 K5 & also a 83 C10

originally the rubber always went inside not outside the door gap. why did you go outside with it?

I was able to purchase from LMC in November for my 83 Chevy Blazer, tinted version.
How in the living FK would anyone discontinue these, most common worn part on these trucks and they are getting popular(edit below)

Yes
