If anyone bullies you for not being a full blood, just remind them that the old Cherokee law forbids us from incest, it was punishable by death, we were expected to go outside of our clans to start a new family, not stay confined to a reservation inbreeding to comply with white man treaties to keep our land, this is what it means to be a full blood in America 💔

Did ancestry research send everybody here?? 😂 I’m a descendant of James Cooper and Lucinda Hawkins - the descendant research of these 2 is so well documented that I just googled my 4x grandparents name and it led me down the tree straight to these 2 and chief Moytoy. Hi, cousins!

It seems unreal that I would be related to such illustrious Cheifs especially since I lack hard evidence,,,,,but why not,,,,I do have primary records and dna linking me back to two passengers on the Mayflower,,,,but if I could somehow verify Dragging Canoe and his daddy,,,,that would mean more to me than the Mayflower connections

Was Attakullakulla Onacona Ukwaniequa Moytoy, Attakullakulla 's full name?
And what do you know about his daughter Amasa Au-muh-su-yiha Jane Jay Moytoy?
For I trace my Native American ancestry back to the first Native American ancestor the name Amasa Au-muh-su-yiha Jane Jay Moytoy daughter of Attakullakulla.
What can you tell about this woman? Please make a podcast on the topic?

A few years ago, I found out Attakullakulla was my 6th great grandfather. I believe the Canadian (Nipssing) story of his origins. The reason is because through my own DNA research, I have discovered, besides having "regular" Native American and Oceania (possibly from his wife), I found that I have a small amount of Inuit DNA. I believe that Inuit came from him. It would fit him originating from the Nipssings, if he is the ancestor that gave it to me. But I don't know of any more proof of it.

@@jdintexas1226 I do have vision problems. One of my eyes is a little crooked. That meant that my other eye became the dominant eye. Now that I'm older, I can't see too great far away or up-close. I have bifocals that I'm supposed to wear. I'm from Alabama.

Oh what mysterious lines. I have a 5th GGrandmother named "Delia" also listed as Dilla, from NC and supposedly died in Broomtown AL. Married to Sampson Mooney, listed on Ancestry as daughter of "Young Dragging Canoe", or "Tsula" or "Tatsi Little Dragging Canoe"... I am convinced a lot of folks want to draw stolen valor from this great legacy of a man. I have been researching for over 5 years and have hit dead end after dead end, but see a constant inconsistency as to who the children of Dragging Canoe are, and who their children are. Through my maternal line that this supposed lineage hails from, it is very apparent in my grandmothers features that she posesses native genes, but again, once you hit "Delia Mooney" on the line, hard evidence goes cold. Nonetheless, I believe it to be a great tragedy of how this whole story transpired.
My grandmother hails from Walker Valley GA, near Chickamauga Ga, at the base of Lookout Mtn (Stecoyee), and myself from Chattanooga TN. The geography lines up, but as to whom we actually come from, it remains a mystery....
    Happy hunting everyone.
