    This is great, he is crazy talented. Singing with that much texture while doing all that rapid finger picking.

    Saw Chris about 2-3 years ago in Asheville TN what a pure artist. Your music speak to hearts and that’s hard to do alone paired with your fingers moving as fast as lightning. You are a huge inspiration to me. Play on 🎶💙

    I first came across CPS in NYC @ The Bowery when he opened for James Vincent
    McMorrow a few years back. I was instantly memorized by the passion in the way he performs. The acoustics in The Bowery Ballroom are amazing, especially for this type of music, and yet he was just as impressive in the smallest of places, like the Livingroom (NYC). I've had the pleasure of seeing him perform a few times.
    He never disappoints, and this is a prime example! So happy and excited that he made it to Tiny Desk. This is most certainly an impressive accomplishment, one he has worked very long and hard for. Congrats Christopher!!

    Dang ... boy done chewed himself a Willie Nelson hole in the top of his guitar. From the look of it, he did it the same way Willie did, too: digging into the top for purchase with his little finger nail.
    ... That kind of intricate, turbocharged fingerpicking makes me think of Richard Thompson, and 1952 Vincent Black Lightning.

    • @reinieden2379

    • @ninehighflush

      waxa belta yet in your imagination, there's no room for imagination and someone else's beliefs. C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling... need I say more?

    • @waxa7290
      @waxa7290 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tolkien, Rowling and Lewis never started Conflict, War and Genocides with there 'Imagination'.... On top of that they don't have any subliminal control riddled into their writing telling me if I don't believe in Gandalf, I will burn forever on the 7th layer of hell.
      I don't really see your point, are you comparing The bible with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings? Because even I can see that's a bit Offensive...

    • @waxa7290
      @waxa7290 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're right !!! Christians also wrote White supremacy and Nazi fiction to though... I do hope you realise that almost 100% of British citizens born between 1880-1960 were Christian... Byproduct of the time...Tolkien, Rowling and Lewis were great. But by no means does their belief in an outdated, redundant power story make them any better/ worse writers. If anyone has any valid, educated responses I would be interested in hearing them. But if your argument is one sentence and is totally irrelevant religious propaganda/ stupidity, don't bother. The world has enough of that and I don't know if you've realised yet but it's been one of the main causes of conflict, sorrow and war for the last 5 Thousand years.

    • @waxa7290
      @waxa7290 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dont hate anyone, I just think if your melody is good but your relying on religous content, and not even deep or introspective religious context just outright preaching.. Everything ends up 2 dimensional. It's a subjective opinion, I thought everyone was entiled to thoes.. Sorry if i hurt your feelings, but im really not.

    • @paddeler666
      @paddeler666 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      waxa belta Be carefull mixing up religion, believe and spirituatlity with religious institutions. Religion for itself never started any conflicts in the world, it´s allways been the humans and especially religious fanatical people.
      I think it´s way too easy to call nearly every conflict and war caused by religion. Even if it was the cause I am pretty sure, that people would have found other reasons to slaughter themselfes such as money, territories, ideology and so on.
      I don´t like religious institutions at all but to be honest, all those christian wars has brought social and civil basic rules to our society. If you comapre general basic rules in christian history with the islamic history I need to say I am thankful and happy, that I may live in a society where christian basic rules are still relevant. I do not have to fear my wife beaten or kicked in public because she wears a certain dress or behaves in a special way.
      On the other side, millions of people had to die (earlier) in the name of religious wars and still there are many bad sides of religious institutions.
      It´s not always that easy, not everything black or white - every negative thing has positive effects too. So please, don´t blame religion for itself for any war or conflict - it´s just a belief and it is always a mostly small amount of fanatic people doing bad things in the name of religion.
