This is one of the most well-crafted pieces of music I've heard in a long time. Not quite a song, not quite trance, but incorporates elements of both just perfectly. If I ever wrote a piece like this, I'd retire.

Gosh, this brings back some great memories from 2008.... but now I have amnesia and can't recall 2:08 I love all of MIAB's songs, but to this day their "Crossroads" album is still my top pick for melodies, emotions, and originality.

MIAB have a pretty unique blend on Futurepop and Progressive Trance, I don't know a great deal of artists that have this exact sound, but if you like these guys and Informatik, you could give Covenant, Assemblage 23, and VNV Nation a listen.

This is how autotune SHOULD be used. To make the vocals sound totally different.
It should not be used to make people who can't sing a note sound like they can, nor should it exclusively be used with the words "yeah", "girl", "love", "oh", and "what".
iconofwaste technically, it's not autotune, it's a vocoder. It makes people sound like someone else. Aurotunes (can) use vocoders, but a vocoder can do so much more.

@@BillAnt your comment just made me listen to it again, and I have no idea what some bands do this, but they feel the need to fade out from the track just as a wonderful piece of musical writing is taking place. This is why I'm a big fan of synth acts like tangerine dream. They would have 30 minute tracks, and what would evolve through out the musical writing process would be some of the best synth music ever created. Still great music here, albeit short

I listen up to 10 albums per day without any sentiment but this track makes me laugh, cry, dance, euphoric and depressed at the same time.
It's stuck inside my head for 3 weeks now.
I fucken love the complex lyrics and even 3 the amazing long parts which
conclude to one refrain are so numbing!
I also listened to the album, but the only remarkable tracks were "Stalker" and, you guessed it "Crossroads".
I hope I don't sound like a dick because of that statement.
