Hey there! Have you heard about Kaal Chakara Dasa? According to the teachings of Parashara Rishi, it is considered one of the most important dasas. In this dasa, the starting point is determined by the placement of the Moon in the Navamsa chart. The occurrence of significant events is influenced by the condition of planets in the D9 chart.
For instance, if Venus is well-positioned in the D9 chart but Jupiter is unfavorably placed in the D1 chart, Venus may not produce favorable results. The D9 chart is believed to represent the destiny or fortune (Bhagya) associated with each planet. It is commonly acknowledged that the activation of the 9th house is preceded by some form of obstruction, represented by the 8th house. That's why D9 becomes active after 30 years of age.
Let me share an example related to one of my close friends. He has Venus, the lord of the 5th house, situated in its exalted state in the 10th house (as per Gemini ascendant) and is currently going through his Venus Mahadasha. However, he hasn't experienced any significant academic progress and has faced setbacks, such as back papers. This could be attributed to the fact that Venus is debilitated (neech) in the sign of Virgo in the D9 chart. I have observed several such examples where the D9 chart holds more significance than the D1 chart.
