Started 2 strikers which we almost never do. However, there's no service from the mid-field. Clearly miss MGW. We need to press more, especially at home. An opportunity wasted.
Yeh, bit of a weird one, looks like we over thought it a bit and were too busy trying to nullify them. We have to learn how to play different formations, so it was worth it, we will get better and a great start to the season. Penalty was softer than a 99 flake
We need to find our home form again. I dont think theres any need to panic yet its our first loss of the season but it was always going to happen. We need to forget about this and move onto next week. Youuuu reds❤
I think this is a positive. For such an incredible start, a loss can be a good thing. This will help to ground the team and make them push even harder to get better. This is the toughest league in the world and we have done incredibly well, but, today showed just how much further we have to go. The squad is excellent and the manager too. They have so much more in them and this will help to bring all that out. We go on! COYR!!!
In defense of Nuno it might have worked. Good things about the formation: 1) got minutes for Awoniyi and helped his recovery 2) blunted a Fulham attack with some strong threats 3) the bench seemed intimidating. Wood’s goal is offside by mm, Murillo trips over his player, it’s not a foul on Elanga for some reason (though the pen last weak was soft) and that’s the ball game. They could have started the wingers, but I think Anderson is the player best equipped to replace Gibbs-White in terms of linking everything up in my opinion. I thought the mistake wasn’t the starting line- that was fine. The problem was how to compensate for no Gibbs-White in an attacking formation. 4 wingers, Wood and Williams going at it doesn’t make football if they’ve got no cohesion. Compare the equalising goal last week to how they played yesterday. One touch, movement, complementary runs and dragging the defense out of place.
No mention of great tactics in any detail lol it was horrific viewing today why not go for it at home, it’s becoming very problematic at home given it was our strength for many years. Approach was poor today and mindset even worse. If one player can throw you off so much in the way of formation and framework etc then we have big problems. At home should be going for it against teams like fulham with all due respect. Yes they have fast quick powerful wingers but aren’t ours been in decent nick? Just leaves a lot to to be desired today. Think this one is definitely on Nuno’s door.
If that was a Pen to Fulham, then the foul on Elanga was DEFINITELY a Pen!! Yes, Reds were terrible, but the inconsistency by the Officials was Utterly shocking!! It's disgusting what we get pulled up for but slightest change in breeze and the other team gets a pen for it. But has this been mentioned on sky ? I know they been crying for poor man city and the pen they conceded
The amount of contact wasn't the effect was the same (both players lost their balance and ended up on the floor), so why was a penalty given to Fulham when Pereira was brought down and not Forest when Aywoniyi was brought down in the box? Once again the penalty given had greater contact but the effect was exactly the same.

shouldve been at least one pen each. genuinely no idea how we havent got the one on elanga “minimal contact” my ass. that said, why not keep anderson on the pitch longer? why doesnt one of CHO, jota, elanga, or sosa start? missing mgw due to a poor call + a poor penalty this week isnt an excuse the team is talented enough to not low block at home against fulham
I've seen the types of penalty we were claiming given but they weren't strong shouts really. Sure, if you are Man Utd playing at Old Trafford you probably get it but for most other teams you aren't going to get those. Have to agree with what others have said. We beat Fulham last year with flair and creativity. We could have started with our wingers and put either Jota or Anderson in the 10.

That said, Aina and Yates played very well I thought. Pressure is off now in many ways now the unbeaten run has ended. Got to learn, improve and move onwards/upwards.
Playing a defensive line up at home is unforgivable, Dominguez on the wing instead of Cho is very strange to say the least,?Then bringing Tiawo off when he was the only player who did well in the first half. perfect chance to play jota instead of mgw but no, we played 2 up front. I could go on and on but that was as bad a coaching performance as I’ve seen from a coach, nothing made sense at all, not playing Cho is absolutely baffling to me.
