Those are beautiful makes Erin… and for such a wonderful cause!! My Mum is a breast cancer survivor… diagnosed at age 50, had a single mastectomy… and is now 84 yrs old, and going strong!! Thanks again for a fun video and for sharing your time and talent with us! Love from Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Oh Nat thank you for sharing that with me about your mum. That is so inspirational. Breast cancer is so important to talk about. I'm very glad your mum found out she had it, sought treatment and survived. I'm so happy you liked all the little pieces! Much love Nat for your ongoing friendship and support, it means a lot 🩷
Oh Jennifer thank you so much for that lovely feedback. I really appreciate you watching the video and I'm so pleased you liked my little pink collection! Erin
@BlossyB my grandmother had a mastectomy at 90 years old, lived another 6 years! I have a history of cancer on both sides of my family,. It rears its ugly head in all different forms in my family. I am a cancer survivor, too, just not breast cancer for me. I have been in remission for over 10 years but there are signs of it coming back. Bless you for supporting this cause! Progress in the fight against any type of cancer can translate to important progess against other types of cancers!
Jennifer how hard for your grandmother to go through that at 90 but go her for getting those additional 6 years. What a woman. I hate that you are in remission but constantly worrying, especially now it sounds like. It must hang over your head constantly. I really hope you can get definitive answers and a good treatment plan. I absolutely agree re progress. I can't believe changes just in my life time with different cancers. Like cancer of the cervix. These days the time between pap smears is so much wider because of the better understanding and detection. If I had to choose a cancer to wipe off the earth right now though it would be pancreatic cancer. It is too cruel and too fast and I rarely hear survivor stories. Anyway, on a bright note, despite the cancer running through your family it sounds like your grandmother was a great example and I hope you beat even her record!!!
@BlossyBTas thank you Erin! I appreciate you! We all have this disease touching our lives in one way or another. I do agree about the pancreatic cancer being the most devastating!
lost a few family members to this mum included and had a preventative double mastectomy myself due to a fault in my genes so was a no brainer they just had to go so I'm loving what you've done here🦄🩷
Oh Kell 🩷🩷🩷. So sad about your mum and other family members. But go you for being so proactive. I absolutely feel the same way. If I had even a hint my boobs were going to be the death of me they would be gone in a heartbeat. You are right, it's a no brainer and I know that surgical techniques, recovery and then post surgery support is constantly improving. Genetic research too is so amazing and I think that being able to be tested after family members develop it is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing that with me. 🩷🩷🩷
