- How to set up the T Mobile 5G Internet gateway. It is easy but if you try to change the password and ID you may have a problem The first day it worked great then on the second day it totally sucked and did not reach around the house I only get 3 bars and would say that it is not a fully operational system will not work with extenders only a router plugged into an Ethernet cable so buyer beware they promise the moon and do not deliver at least not in Delray Beach Florida.

Recommend seprate router and using pc to turn wifi off and setting second modem as the wifi provider I can only get to settings trough pc not both pc/android strange what you sett it up with is what you get. reson I use a smart proxy.

so we don’t use the other wires? with the two plugs
All you really need is your power hooked up and it’s kind of like a cellular hotspot it just broadcasts the Wi-Fi and then you pick it up on your devices from that on the bottom of the unit they give you a password and then they give you a Wi-Fi key. You may have to use the Wi-Fi key on your devices.
Does it work without the white cord
You just plug it in it’s kind a like a cellular hotspot
Got a question if I buy this, do I make monthly payments, or once I buy it I can always have internet

I love the gateway but now I can't use my Canon pixma Mx922 . Any ideas how to get my printer working with the Gateway?
It should recognize it as is the net work and you should be able to connect it just like any other net work I have a video on how to connect a PIXMA to your net work check it out I’ll tell you exactly how to do it thanks for watching

this is just like clearwire wirless use to be years ago back in 2013 it was the best internet service around before they went out of business or i think sprint bought them out and it went to crap there is a whole story about clearwire wireless on youtube just have to look for it. but its the same as t-mobile wireless setup i wonder if they might have bought sprint out its funny how its the same setup. but im waiting on my t-mobile wireless modem also thats why im looking up videos on the setup.

It just keeps loading on the screen what do i do
What I would do is unplug everything the TV, the Wi-Fi and the router let them sit for a minute or two plug them back all back in and then start again
My speed absolutely sux 30 down 1.4 upload, now it's not even showing up on anything so I can't connect with the app , says it's not there .
Yeah, I think T-Mobile has a lot of work to do on their infrastructure, and this is really nothing more than a cellular hotspot

Someone here can show me how to use this modem without energy power switch included (that white ) ? Just the WiFi connection it's working when is connected to 110V wall
I do believe you have to have it plugged in to a power source the battery is just in case the electricity goes out so plug it in good luck thanks for watching

Some places don’t have the towers and it won’t work if you’re not close to one of the towers so you have to check the location of those towers to make sure that this will work. Also, you have to move around in your house to find a spot the best reception.
T-Mobile should take it back. You should go into one of their stores and see if you can get a new one.
Ours didn't work. Called technical support and told me to take sim card out ! Then it fell in without the tray now it's stuck. They are sending me a new one . This also happened to my neighbor . Why is tech support saying to take sim card out. Mind you we both had the older units before The 5g upgrade.
You can reset the tower I have a video on how to do that and then start over again

I ordered on 7/6/2021. It said, “ESTIMATED SHIP DATE 08/17/2021-09/07/2021”. It shipped on 8/6/201, and was delivered on 8/7/2021 by UPS.
@@TomLeeman I live in zip 75075, Dallas, Texas area. My T-Mobile gateway has a 3-bar connection, as GOOD. Download about 300 to 400. Upload about 20. Location matters.
@@TomLeeman I have one and it sucks nothing will load and I can’t get anywhere above 3 bars it’s sucks not worth what we paid for it
@@wengliu for me it says I should have 5 bars but nowhere in my house can get above 3 bars which does nothing and there’s no point because it’s slower then data

@@TomLeeman I set it up this morning. Surprisingly easy. I had misplaced the power adaptor when I unpacked it and looked at the instructions. Finding that power cord was the hardest part!

Is anyone else having the issue of the apps just not working? I've tried on four separate devices and I am unable to get past the loading screen.
You have to check and see if you have towers close enough to you for your device to work you can Ashley call T-Mobile and ask them this is basically a cellular hotspot and it doesn’t work and all places you may have to move it around the house and try to find the Best spot then you have to turn it he said it has antenna on the inside and try to get the best reception otherwise it may not work wherever you’re at good luck thanks for watching

this device does not work with ,,,, chrome books not fire 7 tablets nor windows lenovo lap top .... got one today taking it back in the morning .... did I ask if it worked with fire tablet , chrome book they answered yes ..... it does not yes I phoned customer service at t mobile and amazon .... does not work .... so be careful
It’s weird because really all this is is a cellular hotspot just like if you were using your phone but it’s supposed to be 5G once they get all the infrastructure put in which they haven’t done yet so it’s a little bit ahead of the actual 5G networks but it should work with all devices and your devices should see it and then on the bottom of the tower is an ID in a pass and you have to use either one of those to connect to the device so if you’re using the pass and it’s not working try using the ID good luck thanks for watching
I got my T-mobile gateway about 2 months ago and it still isn't working.
I called tech support and all I get is
Tech PATEL from India who speaks broken English....ofcoarse......
If I knew this is what I would have to deal with to get $50. Internet service I would of NEVER EVER done it. I have tried almost every option ,method to get my brand new Gateway Laptop to pick-up and notice my " GATEWAY " Router from T-Mobile. I'm giving it a few more attempts and it will be going back to tmobile for a REFUND. IF.......they give me a hard time, I WILL drop T-mobile service like a bad habit.
It only works if they’ve got towers around you with the 5G someplace is it works great other places that’s all well it’s basically just a hotspot cellular hotspot but they’re marketing it as their new alternative to Comcast and AT&T good luck thanks for watching
@@TomLeeman Tom, called Tmobile tech support and got Mrs.Patel this time.
HOWEVER, she was a sweetheart and got me up and running with my Tmobile Gateway.
Mine won't come on at all...After I paid, they kept me on the phone for 4 hours transferring me to different people and still didn't get anything working....I literally just took it out of the box and it won't come....I cursed them from A to Z and nothing!!
