This just saved my sanity. My culprit was only doing the ports and not the program itself.
Normally when you start an exe, windows asks for firewall permissions (home network/public/workplace), but I believe if you never click the server .exe but only ever start with the .bat (as you should) you will not get that notification, thus making it necessary to add the program to the firewall manually, as done at 4:30 onward. THANK YOU!

is it possible to change the ip instead of using the one on the local machine to avoid ddos attacks? this is possible for minecraft to set up as a proxy but i dont see a way to change target ip in the cfg file
hi... i made the port as you showed. but how do i find the ip to send to people? and how do i connect the new ip with the server as before i had the server connected to a local ip?
Do you need a strong interner to hold a fivem server? So players in your server will connect to your internet? Does it make your connection slow if you create a fivem server?

I have done everything, this has worked before but now when i launch my server with my ID Code it says "Fetching Info From Server (Attempt 2,3) then an error, please help

When someone tries to join my server it comes up with a error "Obtaining configuration from server failed. Error state: Failed to connect to (Public IPV4 IP) Port 30120 Connection refused
when i start up my server it says 40120 but im using the type of server that use 30120 and i have it as that in my server.cfg do you know how to fix that

it says the localhost is 40120 but in server.cfg it says 30120 and if i change it to 40120 it says : The port 40120 is dedicated for txadmin and can not be use for FXServer,please edit your endpoint_add_*
I port forwarded I think. When I pasted my default gateway into google it didn't pop up like that. I have xfinity do i did it through the app. I don' t know if it worked tho. I tested the ip and it said it was a success and could see it. My firiedns still can't join tho...

How can I local host a server so that others can join. Thing is i have a dynamic ip and it is not possible for me to get a static Ip.

Fivem is better hosted on a strong vps, a rapsberry may crash.

My server shows up on the server list but whenever people try to join I get the CURL error code 7. And then on my start.bat when the server is running I get a http client timeout of 30 seconds constantly popping up.

That is the risk of port forwarding, sadly.

@nojka GM i fixed it it turns out my firewall even after i made the exceptions it was blocking the port
@nojka GM try to look in your firewall turn the server on and look for the name of your server if your server is being blocked it should tell you let me know if you need more i can help you on discord

I Port Forwarded and followed every step then one of my friends tried to connect and it said

@Jeva I've done everything in the video even the last part. It still doesn't show up in the server list at all and I can't use direct connect. It only works when I type "localhost" into direct connect but others cannot do that obv. Any Ideas? I just want to get my server running so I can play with some friends.
i have the same problem....
I did make sure the Ports were open and they are i checked firewall again and its all good but when i give my IP to my friends they get "server could not be found" while i can join.

In the server setup instructions on fivem website it will have a text box with the command you put in the command prompt. Copy and paste that into a text document. In files go to view and make sure it show ls file extensions. Save the text document as start.bat
