This is one of the best Dutchman models I have seen! It is so proportionally accurate! I love that the whole ship is modular too! Really good job, and it would be awesome if you made some instructions for this! I'd totally buy it!
@@adamlarson6821 I created the wall where to place him like in the film scene. I planned to use Groot's mining head and a arm to keep a lantern. To date I havn't yet ordered the head because keeping the ship in a display case would not be seen...

It is the ship of hell, best flying dutchman ever made, you got the proportions very right, which i havent seen in any other version of the ship, thats 2 years well spent right there
At the moment it's armed only in the right side and with the triple cannons. Fully armed, it has 20 cannons in the deck below and 18 in the deck above.

Given the current state of the franchise I don't think there will ever be a Flying Dutchman or even a new Pearl sadly, The last movie was the perfect opportunity for then to make a better Pearl with Jack's crew and monkey Jack and a Dutchman with Will and some fish people, all they made was the Silent Mary, which granted looks cool but I have zero emotional attachment to it, I'm currently coming out of my Lego dark age and I'm really sad I missed out on some PoTC sets but also really mad they've done nothing with the license in ages compared to Harry Potter and Star Wars.
This really is incredible ive never seen somebody replicate so 1 to 1 before. All the scenes locations are here. I know itd be hard but id love to know the specific piece list and to see some tutorials on how you did it. Btw what did you use for the sails?

I love this! this is really movie accurate i absolutely love the faces on the cannons like the movie, and the whole design is just incredible. i'm not much of a lego builder but i wish i had this for my lego potc collection the Revenge and Black Pearl just feel so incomplete without the Dutchman its definitely the coolest ship of the bunch in my opinion I wish lego made a set for it back in the day. the sails look awesome too what did you use or create for them?

Großartiges Schiff, besonders mag ich, wie die Heckkajüten leicht geneigt sind und die Orgel ist die Beste, die ich in einem Flying Dutchman Modell bisher gesehen habe, nur die Farben hätte ich da mit braun, beige und grau etwas variiert. Ich finde es auch Klasse, dass du die Lego Wanten benutzt hast, viele andere Mocs sind da mit aufwendig gespannte Fäden konstruiert, aber so gefällt es mir viel besser und wenn ich Schiffe so gebaut habe, waren sie bisher auch immer stabiler. Die sind nur leider so verflucht teuer, grade die alten 🙈. Respekt auch dafür, dass du die dunkelbraunen Rumpfteile genommen hast, sind wesentlich seltener, passen aber viel besser. Und die ganzen Details sind sehr gelungen, besonders die funktionierenden Stückpforten und die angedeuteten Kraken auf den Kabinendächern.

@@CaptainBarbatos honestly until some instructions for this moc are made people can just use the megabloks Flying Dutchman set until then trust me the Flying Dutchman megabloks set is good it is what you would want out of a actual Lego one plus looks more film accurate because it is not made of just bricks but multiple custom molded parts to be perfection like honestly I think megabloks made good potc sets the only thing at wasn’t good was the Davy Jones figure unlike everything else including other figures in the set the Davy Jones figure didn’t look right like he has too little remount of tentacles in his beard and they were to big also they had weird coloured tips which changed depending on the set you got there was a blue tipped version and a orange tipped version all I can say is if Lego ever made a potc cmf series you could use any Davy Jones crew members in the cmf on the megabloks Dutchman

I think that's a nice compliment! 😅 I don't have instructions for this ship because building it I made changes to the initial design. Then some original lego pieces have been recoloured because they don't exist in those colours and that thing makes it non-replicable. Besides the fact that 8000 pieces is a lot to make instructions quickly!

@@apathy7889 thanks for your questions. 1: first of all, I planned the ship with stud.io software. After that I ordered the pieces and built it by making adjustments. The key part, however, was the design and I must have done it well because it came out like this almost on the first try! 2: this beast is 120cm long and height 88cm. 3: I can suggest you to design the ship in a single block first and then divide it into floors. The foremast and the main masts must necessarily be connected, while the mizzen mast must remain removable with the stern. When the sections get large you can always create detachable points to be able to inspect the interior. You can take a cue from this video if you want!
