Yeah, there's no discussion on genetics and the frequency of occurrence across races, health status, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Not surprising because studies continue to fail to actually document and consider these variables, but disappointing nonetheless. That said, the type of soap you use and the type of detergent will always play a role in the rate of body odor and whether it lingers. Enzyme detergents do a better job of thoroughly cleaning clothes, across the board. Real soap does better than "beauty bars" and crap with fragrance. Antibacterial soap is essential if someone sweats a lot to prevent both skin infections and reduce the amount of bacteria on the skin to interact with that excess sweat and cause odor.
Your diet, gut health, chemical make up in general are more determining factors than what soap you use. I am a firm believer in NOT using antibacterial soaps as your skin is an organ with its own bio flora that if stripped if its defenses is more prone to disease just as the digestive tract and vaginal tissues. The Lume brand line of products claims that their products battle this by having a line of products high in acid ph. Haven't researched this myself but does make sense. This washing more frequently with all these fake fragrances and germ killing stuff is definitely NOT the answer with fragile elderly skin that already no longer produces adequate oil😢
@@sondragraf7609 Weird that you say you don't want to damage your skin's microbiome and then go on to promote a product whose pH is so high that it will likely damage your skin's microbiome. I don't think most people should be using antibacterial soap either, I'd only use it if recommended by your doctor to treat a specific skin concern.
