I make something similar as well but when browning the butter add ginger then red flakes, siracha ,soy sauce and honey and brown sugar to thicken if it's too thin , I use it on shrimp and fried chicken tenders pair it with rice and steamed veggies or fresh romaine!

The end result was the shrimp in the spicy sauce that is as good (maybe better) than what I get at a Chinese restaurant.
After I heated the butter and honey I added the soy sauce. It started to sizzle then it popped all over the place, including my face. I don't think the skillet was too hot, I even had the temp set between med/high and med. Be careful!
So I made this tonight knowing I would be warming it up tomorrow for dinner. I my have added a tich too much honey or it may just be a sweeter dish then what I thought. Is there any thing I could add when I warm it up tomorrow to make it a wee less sweeet??? Thanks :)
It did the same thing when I prepared it. I couldn't even get the honey to mix back with the other sauces after it sat in the measuring cup. Unfortunately I couldn't use what was left over to pour over the finished shrimp. Frustrating!

I just made these and it was missing something. Next time I think I'll double the garlic and add some cayenne for spice.

Try adding a lil bit of corn starch it will thicken the sauce up
