I use a historically accurate iron gall ink, that can be found on our website. All of the paint is made using medieval pigments made into egg tempera paint.
Haha yeah kinda sorta. I wouldn't be surprised if the speech bubble 💬 was first done in a manuscript. Bottom line is we need an incredibly weird and fascinating comic adaptation of the Voynich manuscript, so that it can then be made into a movie.

Speech bubbles are definitely in illuminated manuscripts, they are depicted as scrolls.
