I’m no tree trimming professional but when trimming branches make a small cut on the underside of the branch then cut cut through the branch from the top connecting the two cuts. This way the branch falls straight down and will not swing on the uncut bark like at 1:38 and 1:44

I wish I could walk around on my roof like this to trim trees. Mine is just way too steep! Very nice work. Getting those branches out of the way will help with the gutters and letting the roof dry out after it rains too.

I am jealous. I hire a tree company about every three years to trim the trees. On the other hand, we have a live oak in the front that is a serious tree. Replaced a water main from the meter to the house just a few months ago. Roots! Dang it!

Doing everything yourself has it's pitfalls as well. Sort of I do everything myself to avoid paying someone else but so busy doing everything myself I don't have money to pay anyone to do anything.
