Beautiful story.
The lesson is in the Bible, be swift to hear and slow to speak. We have two ears and one mouth. Always listen before speaking.
He didn't listen to his wife and his actions was too drastic even though the elephant in the room was his brother. Good for him, he didn't recognize the goodness of his wife, so cow never know the use of his tail until it is no more.
I am happy she didn't go back to him. She deserved his friend. Beautiful ending.
