    That orange is awesome. They should bring that exact color back. Not a fan of the inferno.

    Great review! Just curious if you have ridden the 2019 Capra CF Pro yet and how it compares.

    Why you want the noose of the saddle aligned with the BB? You need to fit right to your size not those old guides. Saddles are very different in length this is very wrong

    Will they use the same approach on the 27.5 aswell? love the new suspension

    Can I ask you if the Foxy 29er or the SB150 climbs better over technical terrain and switchbacks? We don't have reviewers in the USA that have ridden both. Thanks PS. It's a shame the SB130 didn't get the ETT that the SB150 got, otherwise it would have been my next bike.

    what you say about the long bottom bracket Downtube thing? isnt it touching the ground earlier for example when your roll over steep edges or rocks?

    Yeti makes beautiful bikes but I will most likely never own one because they are just a bit too expensive compared to other options out there. I hope companies like YT, and Canyon force these big brands like Yeti, Trek, Specialized, Santa Cruz, etc. to start coming down on their prices a bit. My next new bike will be a YT for sure since you just can't beat what you get for the price. Not to mention, YT bikes are beautifully designed and imo one of the best looking bikes no matter the cost.

      The prices fot Yeti and Santa Cruz will not likely ever come down, frames are manufactured in usa and not cheap labour countries like Taiwan also the appeal of yeti and santa cruz is that IS PRICEY, people save for years to buy their dream bike and they enjoy how they can ride something other people can't buy, personally though... i see way too many of them on my trails so it becomes a moot point when theres so many XD , i personally ride a Kona myself, heavy and built like a brick shit house just the way i like it!

      Yeti bikes are made in Vietnam. SC bikes are made in Taiwan. Their USA portion just connects the front triangle to the rear triangle. BFD

      I felt exactly the way you do, I bought an aluminum Capra in 2016 and have been able to afford to put every single dream component that I want on it for the same price as the lowest end Nomad or SB6. Been smashing the bike for two years now and it feels way better than it did on day one. She is a beast

    How does it pedal compared to a Santa Cruz Hightower LT?

    • @donnpassMTB
      @donnpassMTB 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Better than LT definitely.

      Yup, Yeti realized they goofed and took it down. In fact, they went as far as to track down and scrub the internet of any posts that talked about any info on the SB130!

    How were you able to accurately measure the rear wheel travel arc with the shock in place?

    • @MBRmagazine
      @MBRmagazine  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We measured the vertical wheel travel.

    • @ErichVonCartmann
      @ErichVonCartmann 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To me that is how it should be measured. That is, I too believe the distance the rear axle moves vertically is "the travel". However, after noticing my Intense was way short of the manufacturer's claimed travel, I was told by Intense that they way they measure travel is the Arc distance the rear axle makes when the suspension is fully compressed. To me this is a lame way to measure, and is impossible to confirm in the real world (only a CAD program could confirm this). Now I am beginning to wonder if everyone just makes up their Travel numbers to make the bike sell more easily.

    Looks like Yeti is going through their bikes and ditching the old, perfect design for the sake of satisfying the water bottle problem. That bothers me. The original design was badass. This is a complete departure from the frame design that was dedicated to awesome ripping, water bottle be damned. These new frames (the 100 and 150), are they starting to look like Santa Cruz? Just as the 5.5 and 4.5 have vanished, I would expect to see the SB5 and SB6 end up in the dust bin and new versions designed.

      Old, perfect design, based on what, looks? I think Yeti put a little more engineering behind it than you have.
