I love the TDF and this game. It is actually quite a deep simulation... Couple tips from a yearly player of this game In the early years of career mode, use your teammates to win and make money for next season... Your rider will level up naturally, no big rush on that. Also if the new game has the hardest difficulty locked you just need to start a tour de france race from the main screen and just simulate it until you are rewarded enough xp to unlock the hardest difficulty... One last thing After you level a Mountain rider to max you will absolutely dominate every race after about 3 seasons even on the hardest difficulty, Im still trying to win a tour with a "sprinter" in my career, but you get to hire Tadej or Jonas or anyone else to compete in the mountains
Hi, I've played all sorts of games except a cycling manager game. After a long doubt, I bought it to experience this. I am very happy to have found your tutorials which help me a lot to understand this game. It is certainly not easy, but with these guides it should become easier. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to watching all episodes!
I only did a first look video on last year's game so didn't play enough to know major differences. Medium Mountain is a welcome addition, agility replacing downhill is also a big deal. For me the biggest test will be how playable the game is, the PC port two years ago was unplayable. So far so good but I've only made two videos at this point so I'll wait a while to rule on playability.
at minute 15:30 he is not trying to attack you but he is trying to drop you because you didnt help him for a long time, you have to relay so they work with you
hi, what do you guys make of the AI's cooperation in a breakaway situation?. also the AI's pace downhills generally? ..ahh i guess you mentioned "First person perspective" metaphorically not literally.?...ie there is a much more realistic Rider cam!...cheers
In pro team I won the season took the polkadot jersey and yellow jersey and the team championship and it still says I didn't qualify for the second season. Does anyone have any input?
Is it still the case that when you're developing your rider in "Pro Leader" you always stay the same age? And you're the only one whose traits change/develop while all other riders don't? That really bugged me with the TDF22 version..
Hi, i have an issue with this game, hope u can help me. when i start a carreer as leader all goes fine and works great. however when i wanne carry on my saved game it always forces me to select 2 riders and it always goes into splitt screen so i control 2 riders with 1 controller, i have no idea wheter this is a bug or maybe i do something wrong, cant find anything about it on the world wide web neither help would be appreciated thx
It's much smaller. Fewer teams, fewer riders per team. Definitely fun to play, gives something different with the direct control, but lacks the depth of PCM as a management game.
I want to get PCM so bad because I like they way it works so much more than TDF, but I only play on PS4, so I can’t play it. I’ll just stick to watching you tho:)
It's fairly amazing that such a simple game (graphics wise) still cant port to mac and consoles. I'm assuming it's because the engine is using DirectX, but come on it's been like 10 years.
My personal belief is that the reason this year's PCM had so few updates - far less than normal, even for Cyanide - is they are in the middle of a two year project to overhaul the graphics. My expectation is PCM24 will look very similar to this. It's an educated guess, I could be totally wrong, maybe I'm just hopeful.

This game looks much better than I thought

Why don't I qualify weer the second season in pro team even I win the team championship?
Keep up the great work!
Great video. Enjoyed that. Any noticeable improvements on last year?

Thanks for the insights and gameplay ... you're doing #tdf2023game justice
Love the vid btw :)
Looking forward to PCM but this is a nice warm up
Is the level of teammates the one who decides my teammates overall or how good they're gonna do during races?

Hey there!
Is the database of this game the same as PCM, in terms of the amount of races, teams and cyclists?

Why don't they use this graphics engine for pcm. This looks much better

I prefer Pro Cycling Manager. I dont like to play those games with an controller!
