  • We do condition inspections of Zenith aircraft frequently and would like to share this point about how to properly hinge the flaperons.

I’ve had my 750 for 10 years. I am about to replace all of these bushings due to a little surface corrosion on the bushings. This is the first time I’ve ever understood exactly how this assembly is designed to work. It is very easy to have it all together and end up with exactly what was described, or even end up with a bolt/nut/bushing assembly that rotates with the flaperon arm. Thanks for the thorough explanation on this.

Posting these little nuggets of information, that has nothing to do with you selling an engine, is huge my book! Aircraft builders have such a varied background. What is common sense for some, isn’t for others. I didn’t know this basic concept until my father explained it to me on our first aircraft build. Good job!

WOW! I just re-looked at this, after a good night's rest 😊. This is so clear and helpful. I love the building block teaching approach. I understand this so much better. Thank you for the time and detail. Jan, you are a tremendous help to this community

I hope Zenith brings soon a sexy plane to the market. Something low wing, sexy tail sections, sexy canopy, sexy wing planform and designed for the Viking 130 and 150. Maybe a more italian design like the Falco. I mean I dont wanna build the ugliest airplane on the homebase!
