after reading "Scar tissue" I realize it's maybe the most personally song that Anthony and John make together. 2 amazing artists - 1 breaking heart, 1 night - done. Amazing story
Actually it was Flea's mistake during the solo! He should go with the intro/verse harmony (Bm A G), but he played the chorus part instead (Em G D C), wich is the chorus/outro solo harmony. That's why John didn't play the solo and turned around to look at Flea with that "wtf man!" face lol.
Sinead said in Q Magazine that she never had a relationship with AK and that she didn't like the song at all (she used a less polite phrase). Anyway, sometimes tristesse results in good music, good lyrics, and good literature (I am not talking about AKs book though). Thank you for uploading this.

john is a fantastic guitarist.someone said before, his solo's aren't fast or complexed but they fit in perfectly.I think John Frusciante and The Edge (who does fantastic work with U2's music) are one of the best two guitarist in the world.

@jovenmedia the first time i heard this song,... it was my birthday, i guess i was about 13 years old, i listened to the intro,the first 15 seconds or something like that, and i fell in love with this guitar. i also fell with in love with his singing, but then the chorus came in and i disliked it, a week later i was junkie in terms of that song. the upshot was that i realized two things, first, good songs need some time to totally fell in love with, and they are also the songs they dont get

agreed. they have all gotten better (well, chad has always been consistently kick-ass) since the 2nd coming (1999). they've been pretty active musically and healthy since then, so they seem to have come to an understanding woth each other and themselves to blast off into the peak musical realms and experiences - as far as i know without the help of drugs now. took what they could from the drug exp. and use it now with sober, informed faculty. weed don't count, tho.
Next year is going to be the 20th anniversary of Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik so I believe they should do a tour where they only songs from Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik. That would be so RAD

The first solo was just feedback but it was so good. The tone he gets in his guitar are great. He just goes with what he's feeling at the time.
