This guy is a British legend as a composer and musician, just wish he had more recognition in the UK, I personally rate him above the likes of Capaldi and Sheeran.
My wife left me after 29 years... just fizzled out and bored... and I heard last year for the 1st time 'Same Mistake" the line 'Im not calling out for a second chance, Im screaming at the top of my voice" it literally broke me, and I started listening to more of his catalogue; Id only previously listened to back to Bedlam many many years ago....what a talent, glad I rediscovered this man.
You know this guy is really good, when you can hear a pin drop in that audience. He had them spellbound with his voice, and lyrics. Beautiful Song... 🎶

Probably should stop sending out on various sites all my previous comments about Mr. Blunt and his extraordinary artistry. This current one, a concert performance, only reinforces what I have expressed before. SO many reasons to savor and have one's soul nourished by this man. I don’t know if anyone’s actually going to read this whole thing, but anyway… I first listened to James Blunt when I was like 11 or maybe 12 years old. For me his first album was a total blast! It was like listening to old music but it felt so fresh. Familiar but still new. One or two years after that I started playing guitar and I got the Hal Leonard Back to Bedlam book with the music sheets and chords. I learnt those 10 songs (and eventually forgot most of them). This man was a great inspiration for me and his first four albums accompanied me through very important parts of my life. I never actually learnt music the way I should or I would liked to, but I enjoy it deeply. A couple years ago I got a keyboard and I started learning it by my own. Recently I learnt this song (at least my own not so accurate version) and I love it every time I play it. I think that this song revolves around death and farewell but at this point of my life, as a 26 year old man who has enjoyed life but also made some big mistakes, I also feel this song as some kind of pride and gratitude for what my life has been up to this point and for the way I’ve decided to live it. I could have done so many things and my life could be so different but I’m glad that I let music and art play such a big role on me. After all, I’ve been everything I wanted to be, I’ve done everything I wanted to do. I’m thankful, I’m proud and I’m eager for more.
