    1 quick note.. in the newer versions of CST there is an insert bio model Macro feature, which adds a human body into the CAD (includes models of different sexes/age categories, etc) which i know you dont need to use the entire thing but you can always just crop out the parts that you dont need to model to save processing time

      I Know that. Selective truncation may not be an engineer's way That would be kind of technician's way following a cheat-sheet. Besides, material properties can be easily controlled and engineered in a custom phantom which would be useful for further parametric analysis.

    greatly helpful video, i actually worked for a little bit on this topic before using CST
    Tiny comment on the CAD to help you save some time, you can use the mirror feature more frequently and it will help you save a TON of time.. it did for me, also aren't you supposed to murge the structures on the same substrate? (parts of the patch)

      Thanks. I make tutorial based on target audience. This tutorial shows everything from scratch so that from fresh users to advanced - all understand.I do not necessarily use the same steps for my own use. Tutorials should be made to be like 'tutorial' - easy to follow for all users.
      In my own real life project, I use smarter way and barely use manual CAD steps. I know how to automate design by script. I write a few lines of codes and get the whole CAD design done. That saves my time already.

    That's cool video.. Also its a proof of concept for making high frequencies penetrated inside tissue..
    My question is , what are the specs for the machine you are using . I mean the RAM and GPU card etc .. I tried something like this with Core i3 Laptop with enhanced RAM of 12 GB ( actual available 7 GB ) and CST says out of memory without opting for adaptive meshing option.
    Thanks again for the video

    Nice video!. But wouldn't it be problematic to place the first antenna behind the breast.

    • @tensorbundle
      @tensorbundle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I already pointed out in the video. Explicitly told in the video that using circular array around the breast would also be possible. This is a tutorial, a guideline of concept.. not a PhD defense. I don't see the point of making things complicated in tutorials. People can find out complicated design in research paper. Keeping things simple to convey a concept is the utmost priority for me in tutorial videos.

    these frequencies will not propogate in the human body. the attenuation is much too high. I highly doubt they wll even pass the skin. why did you choose them for this video?

      I would not directly address your incorrect concern, but rather would refer to actual researches people doing. Research vectors are not stationary, they progress with time. MMwave can be harnessed. What you are saying is past long ago. Read the following and keep yourself updated. You will get your answer. And please always stay updated with relevant research trends before making any random guess, specially on a research topic

      @@tensorbundle i agree with gil..., i habe read the 3rd paper you mentioned and his results are very bad. Gil has quite rightly mentioned that at such high frequency penetration through skin will be very limited. If you read the paper he has not simulated skin layer and is using ideal scenario and still there is way too much noise in the final image.

    you didnt tell how to interpret the S21 plot like what is happening at 33GHz
    how do we know that there is a tumour if the system is applied in practical ,
    How is it different from non malignant breast

    • @tensorbundle
      @tensorbundle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I already explained how to interpret S21 in the very beginning of the presentation. Those who feel interest in the topic should simulate and exploit the results by themselves. As a free tutorial, it is a mere roadmap for the journey. Do not expect it will cover up entire journey. You have to walk and find out by yourself what lies ahead in the journey.

    • @tensorbundle

      Breast is non-symmetrical object, so for this system S12 and S21 will be different. However, for only 2-antenna system, S12 and S21 are identical.
