  • The 42nd episode in the Orlando series where we go down the path of discovery at the various public bodies of water in the area. Many of these places I've already fished to differing extents and some I have not. Any knowledge from experience or research will be dispensed at the start of each episode. This is mostly general information like watercolor/clarity, different species of aquatic vegetation present, and general depths/offshore structure where applicable.

I've been wanting to get back out to Ivanhoe soon. This video just let me know where I'm headed next. You've done Rowena before right ? Worth it ?

Fished Rowena plenty over the years, but I find myself just paddling through to go from Formosa to Sue as of late. Water is pea green soup there, but it still has a decent bit of eelgrass and hydrilla, although I think they recently sprayed the hydrilla. Point is, it's not my favorite. Also, I will tell you I have eaten shit at Ivanhoe a few times since this video. It's a fickle beast, but there are still quality bass in there if you can find them in a good feeding window. Good Luck. If I make an announcement to meet up at one of the Orlando lakes, do you have a preference on which one if you could make it?

I despise the FWC gangsters for destroying are fisheries, they dont know what word management means. Nice work with the free rig. What actual date was this. I see you cutting up your tore up baits, Mend-it makes them like new again, just throw them in a bag and when you get a few fix em up. Have you ever fished Lake Mann, just wondering what that lake is like.

This Ivanhoe trip was March 2nd. I usually use the superglue, but I will have to get some Mend-it and try it out. I've used other brands, and they were just ok. I went to Lake Mann once many years ago and didn't catch anything. I also didn't see any aquatic vegetation anywhere, but there were plenty of docks if I remember correctly.

Mend-it fuses the plastic and keeps it pliable unlike superglue, you will like it, especially on your JDM baits. Seems odd lake Mann didn’t have any grass, they must of nuked it. Keep whacking my friend.

@@anarchyfishing476 Just to update you since you replied, we did go and fish Mann today, Not sure if you ever used the Navivonics Web App but I use it alot to try to find lakes with a lot deep and underwater contours, this lake has a lot of deep 20 foot holes with many saddles in between, so thats why I asked you about it. Not sure how long it was when you there but the lake does have massive amounts of eel grass and anemic looking hydrilla. but all of it was dead and dying, including any isolated pads and most shoreline vegetation. Obviously if was massively sprayed in the last couple months. It's so sad because this lake is setup to be a great fishery, but now totally destroyed, it's criminal on what they continue to do to our fisheries. We did grind out around 15 fish with nothing over 3lbs, marked a ton of fish out in the deep drop-offs but really couldn't find a pattern to get them.
