Something I've realized is that Ryuk is the most in-character as any in this series. He genuinely has some smart moments and menacing lines, and I really like the contrast between Ryuk/Death and everyone else.
I really feel like we're sleepin' on the fact that you had Matsuda sedated. XD "Oh shit. I think I misread how lame this guy is." Was absolutely perfect. God this Raye Penber is amazing. And I love how Ryuk is a gritty, terrifying character stuck in a crack comedy genre.

Gunshot Haha the dialogue in Love Note is just so good, oscilating between funny, serious and brilliantly deep at certain points. Matsuda's devotion on L felt so wholesome on previous episodes but crossed the threshold into insanity on this one 😂. And I just love how L is such an arrogant, proud, hot-headed jerk in this (the opposite of the real L whom has more humility and is calm). He delivers so many interesting comedic lines.
