They literally made Godzilla 2000 out of nowhere, even GMK, Mecha King Ghidorah, I would say don't be surprised if an anguirus randomly appears announced in the next couple 2 years
@vortecmacs you sound desperate, around 5 months ago they didn't had Heisei, or Millennium, only Monsterverse. Now they have a bunch of upcoming Heisei, Millennium figures, and Monsterverse too. Hopefully Showa will join the list too, perhaps in 1 year.
The Super7 team are an amazing resource for understanding the market. Super thankful for your efforts to offer them and other community members a platform for sharing their insights, KC! I think these reactions represent how many are feeling priced out of the line at this point. I myself will probably just stick with my Revoltech despite this looking appetizing.
I’m firmly in the camp of “this seems too expensive but I’m buying it anyway,” which is kinda where I stand across the board with MonsterArts these days. By and large, I love them, and give myself the justification like “hey, you only need to buy it once”
I remember back in the day when I could buy monsterarts from stores for around $60, and there’s no way this is worth the price it is. Should be half that price to be even close to worth it
at this point, I've stopped buying sh monsterarts figures after I got my mizutsune figure that I can barely pose without it falling apart half the time.
Yeah for the price increase from their older figures youd expect them to make better quality joints, but theyve gotten worse tbh. Ive thought about getting Zinogre but I know i just dont like how MA figures feel.
@@DragoLeotaurn Either they fall apart or faulty design and poor qc prevents getting the full range of articulation as promised. I couldn't get the full range of shoulder articulation on my Monsterverse Godzilla figures.
If only Legendary's Monsterverse could afford the rights to Anguirus so a price like this can be justified. A new Anguirus design would be worth the money
I'm a bit surprised some are buying extras for repaints when a "Special Color Version" (1968, probably) will likely come. I'm getting him though, come hell or high water.
A lot of people will want Anguirus, but the crazy thing is the price will make those people hesitate smh. Meaning LESS units sold! Good job! Nice way to capitalize smh
Sorry, I’m not made out of money. I like Godzilla, but my kid LOVES Godzilla. I’m not spending that much on my kid who’s 8… a hundred plus $$ Anguirus… this price tag says to me. Milk the older existing fans, screw the new gen of fans.
As much as it hurts we don't have another option so this may or may not be our one shot. I'm getting two and having one repainted as the trendmasters version with that purple and black color
There hasnt been a good Angy since the revoltech. I dont think there will be another release for a long time. Im still picking this up, unless Hiya pulls a sneaky and releases their improbable version
The price ain't the best that's for sure. But at this point you either still buy S.H. Monsterarts figures or you don't. I'm definitely getting it because I do buy these figures (at least on the Toho side) and Anguirus WILL fill in the collection perfectly.
Canuck I remember paying the same price for the x plus daimond 68 Anguirus and I always figured since I can’t really display it I’d wait till there was like an articulated Anguirus and trade the x plus for it but I’m not sure if that’s a greeeat idea..(I also prefer the 68 suit)
Happy to see it, but ive had my revoltech forever now. I think I'll skip this too. Cost is too high to justify shelf space. Id probably buy it if i didnt have the rev though.
I love defending Monsterarts. They make stuff I’ll mostly buy. But wow. Anguirus was my second most anticipated sh figure and it looks great. But that price… How do they justify Angy, something around the size of the Vs Gigan Goji, be the same cost of things like Shin, Ultima, Minus, or even Evolved?????
I wanted it but i just cant gamble so much. Last time i gambled 130 for their Gigan I lost. 130eur to the trash. I cant do it again just because they want to make it a web exclusive. You said it yourself, this is going to sell. Its been YEARS of people BEGGING for this. I understand the Super7 guy is explaining their experience, but they also dont do hinged jaws. Im just saying: that might not be that much of a problem for SH as it was for super7. I just don't trust SH cos they overprice random releases for no reason, so I can believe you, but also I have reasons to just dont trust the multimillion dollar company. If its as good as 72G i might just save money and deal with it, but we all know I would be paying more than I should, we all are.
I'm not a collector of SH Monsterarts, but this toy looks amazing. But.... isn't the Anguirus suit used in Gvs Gigan in 1972 the same suit from DAM in 1968? Maybe just a little more beat up?
I will purchase this if it's on a site that doesn't ask for payment straight away. Cuz I'm going to have to do a lot of overtime. Most of all where the heck is Megalon s.h monsterart figure 🤔.
Honestly, I truly just want them to finish the Mezco 5 Points XL line. Having all of the Showa Era kaiju would be cool, but I really want a Titanosaurus and Ebirah. Does anyone know if they're continuing that line? I haven't heard anything in like a year
This might be the end of me and SH Monsterarts... I've been waiting for Kaiju like Gigan and Anguirus for almost 10 years, to finally recieve them but at constantly rising prices--STILL no effect pieces or buildings... This one hurts.
That doesn't really make sense because you never know, if any other more kaiju release And you somehow like them and for once they lower the price, will you still not get them because it was apparently the end right here?
@@ParrotsAccount I don't know, the list of unreleased Kaiju is growing small. It's a lot of money to ask fans who have supported the brand for over a decade, those long time fans should be rewarded rather than gouged IMO. Like every other SHMA figure I've gotten, I'll get it when it's on sale or secondhand. The only recent figures I've seen that have sold out extremely fast were spacegodzilla and minus one, so I'm not sure how popular anguirus will be compared to them.
I think if someone waited so long for this and also cant afford it without damaging their wallet could just wait few more years for most likely hiya to make their own or any other company
“Wait for hiya”

"Wait for the Hiya" has become sort of like a mantra for me regarding monsterarts these days.
I’ll definitely waiting for another 6000 year for that
Best option: wait for the best chance to get any for a good price AND wait for the reviews.
Can get almost 3 hiya Godzillas for the price of that 😂
I wish you luck.
I'm really glad that Super7 is so transparent about this stuff because it really helps understand industry pricing.
Super7 is so overhated

An expensive figure for a monster that's pretty much just a guy crawling on all four is hilarious
This is definitely typical Monsterarts behavior at this point
