There was a show a few years ago on cable where this couple owned an oddities shop. It was really interesting. The people who came in to buy or sell sometimes were more odd than the items. They have episodes on you tube.

Yeah and the younger guy from the show that helped build stuff for them as well...he now hosts The Oddities Flea Market that travels across the country...we went to it in Los Angeles 2 years ago or last year? before all this happened...

Good to see these types of shows are starting again in a safe way! What I like about that, and I hope it will remain in some way, is the social distancing. It causes a better distribution of people over time, less crowdy, easier to check out and see all the displays and vendors.

Next Conventions are The Fanboy Expo in late June at Knoxville Convention Center. Robcon at Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport Tennessee in early June.
I had a little budgie called Percy, and there’s no way I’d want him flattened and in a frame, each to there own 😬 x
What about taxidermy? I'm curious about how people feel about their pets and regular taxidermy.

We have our pet Jungle Carpet Python freeze dried and my Cockatiel we had for many, many years is taxidermied and under a cloche
I have pet rats and I always thought it would be kinda weird to preserve them forever. I think taxidermy is kinda weird in general, but some people like it. I had a friend growing up that her parents taxidermied their Rottweiler.
@@noniakamai2458 I just get really really attached to my pets and we hated the thought of putting them in the ground. Everyone is different.

I live in NW Indiana and have ate a many DRUNK meals there in my younger days. LOL

The “rabbit with horns” hahahaha is called a Jackalope, many people make those and some believe they are actual animals but alas they are not, just made by taxidermy

You're lucky. The only curio expo I ever got to go to was mainly a bunch of goth art projects and severely lacking in both taxidermy and antiques.

Forgive my ignorance, but didn’t realize there is actually a sun sphere in Knoxville. I’ve never been to Tennessee. I thought it was made up from the classic episode of The Simpsons where Bart gets his fake ID and drives there during Spring Break with his friends, lol! 😂
The Sunsphere was the icon for the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville.
