The main advantage of epoxy resin is that after drying it retains its original volume. Curing of the resin occurs due to the passage of a chemical reaction.
Epoxy tables are characterized not only by their beautiful appearance, but also by their reliability and durability. The tabletop is resistant to mechanical damage, high humidity and temperature extremes. Durability of products refers to the main advantages.
Epoxy is used not only to create new products, but also allows you to transform the old table.
Modern furniture manufacturers often use epoxy resin to manufacture original models of tables. They provide a wide range of models, applying a variety of forms. For the manufacture of such a table will require the use of cold or hot curing resin.
Epoxies are thermoset plastics made by the reaction of two or more industrial chemical compounds. Epoxy resins are used in a wide array of consumer and industrial applications because of their toughness, strong adhesion, chemical resistance and other specialized properties.
Epoxy resin offers a variety of possibilities that is unlike any other material. In conjunction with wood, you can achieve a wide range of design possibilities: epoxy resin coated with wood as a protective layer, wood in cast molds, epoxy resin river tables, and much more is possible. We will show you what is possible with the combination of epoxy resin and wood and give you specific instructions, ideas, and tips.
Quite arguably, what makes our furniture so spectacular is that we use the best of nature to create pieces that bring the outdoors in, with a touch of class that is one-of-a-kind. The way that we showcase our beautiful wood furniture is by using epoxy resin to tie it all together. It is the glue, literally, that binds our vision into a spectacular conversation piece for our customers. The best way for us to preserve the natural beauty of the live edge woods we use is by using an epoxy resin finish to attach our pieces together. And it also makes them sturdy and impervious to whatever life can throw at them.
We first start with hand-picked planks of the most majestic wood we can find. Then, we take our live wood edges and we remove the bark from the outside surface. Our technicians carefully chisel the bark, meticulously using a gentle hand to preserve as much of the live edge as possible. To ensure a polished and finished look, we both plane and sand the wood to make it as smooth and flawless as possible.
Creating a Resin Mold
Once we have our live edge wood pieces, we create a mold around them to create a design. Each of our tables is made with varying dimensions and shapes. We try to use the natural spirit of the wood, placing the pieces so that they play off of one another. Our goal is to showcase the beautiful nature of the individual planks of wood. And, ideally, create a formation of flow that appears to have no beginning or end.
We Then Allow the Resin to Cure
The epoxy resin needs to cure for a minimum of 48 hours. Once it is cured, it is extremely hard. Then it is time to create the table underside. After carefully taking the table from the mold and sanding the completion of the top, we go to work shaping the rest of the table by creating a base that fits perfectly. Once the table underside is complete, we apply a shellac finish to the top to make sure that it can’t be scratched and is durable for day to day use in homes, hotels, offices and any space that needs a touch of nature.

Hey Piyush. You guys should try making River Tables without the Epoxy Coating on Top. The Glossy top looks very plasticy and artificial. There are other ways to pop the grain of wood like Hard Wax Oils.
Is it possible to polish teak doors with epoxy resin, I like its shine with grains looking very dominant
Polishing a flat door is possible, but there's any moulding or anything pasted on the surface, then it's not possible.

Marble dining table top has the quality of soaking water or oil being porous. Is this a better coating than the PU polish done on it? If yes, then what would be the approximate cost of clear coating marble top with it per square feet?
