Hate, hate, hate the black lagoon. It looks polluted, like you wouldn’t want to get in it. The kids are going to be terrified of it. I liked all of the bedrooms, and the bathrooms are OK except for the sinks in the master. That’s just weird.
well it's like any other pool if there's something underwater. the water isn't black, just the tiles. so if something is underwater you'd see it similarly well if it black tiled white tiled or blue tiled, as long as whatever is in the water isn't the same black color

She'd probably paint FLW's house white. It's just so bland. The pool room is weird. I'm just noticing that the wallpaper in the bathroom was the same that we had in our kitchen, here in an apartment in San Diego, except ours was green and yellow, no blue. I remember taking it down about 15 years ago, it was in bad shape. I bet the kids would have preferred the blue bathroom. Let them feel like they live in the Brady Bunch house! The master bath looks smaller, not sure why they're saying it looks bigger. This whole episode seems like a joke.
First time that I saw their work was with Rock the Block 1. I am very impressed by their work and design style. Leanne seems to have a vast amount of creativity. Pretty impressive brother and sister team.
FLW water base was natural. And it wasn't "black", it was DARK. I think if it had been done in multiple DARK colors it would have been great. Needed to be different shades of greens, browns, grays, blacks and maybe even some blues! 😮 Oh, and the "balloons" over the pool❓ They just don't integrate in any way. They cheapen the space. 😥
I think it was just a little bit too black maybe a dark brown but not that black it looked like a hole or black splash of paint not a "pool" its not inviting .
The blackpool are not a town/area name but literally now a real thing..i love it but i never gonna used it, its scare the shit out of me, like a deep ocean
Black pool was a poor idea and unattractive.. The lanterns above and plastic swans in the pool looked cheap. In this case, the clients got what they paid for. Sometimes, even designers should get 2nd and 3rd opinions before they alter a home with cosmetic mistakes. This home was designed by a student of Wright's. You should encapsulate the best design elements of a master architect, and not subjectively interpret and inject your own misconceptions upon those elements.
Don't like the bathroom Island. I would not rely on a decorater to do my home with what they like and use my money for that...It's my place... I pay for it ..I decide what I want and what I like. I don't like surprises that I have to pay for.
Why why why consistently paint stone! and brick. They were architectural elements. They were part of a design by a very good architect. Why make it look as if it were a fancy plaster job in a tract home? I have seen several of these shows where she has taken a great mid-century home and designed it to death.

Wow... The only thing worse than fake rock/foam walls might be painting white over them. If they're fake and not original to the house, why not just remove them? The pool could have had deep blue green paint to make it seem like a lagoon. The black is too big of a contrast, doesn't match with anything else and is dangerous. Imagine the kids inviting their friends over to play in the pool and wanting to jump in. How do you know where it's safe? Absolute no for me!
