    Thank you so much for the down to earth presentation on the preparation and contents of DEED OF CONVEYANCE OR ASSIGNMENT.
    Can you please present a lecture on TESTAMENTARY DISPOSITIONS OR WILL?.

    What's the difference between deed of assignment and deed of agreement?

    • @naijapropertybusinesslawyer

      The content is what makes the difference.
      “ A deed of agreement “ though sounds interesting, was that drafted by a lawyer😮?
      The name amounts to tautology.

      @@naijapropertybusinesslawyer You are correct. A Deed is essentially a document embodying the agreement of parties.

    Thank you so much barrister. A very good professional information to me and many. Please my friend showed me a deed of conveyance which has no amount of sales stated on it, the history of ownership not stated and all description spaces on the deed not filled but instead were attached at the back of the deed after the lawyer signature, please advice if deed is valid or unacceptable before court. Thanks. I already subscribed but need to set up for payment details. God bless you for great work you are doing

      You're welcome.
      I can't give legal advice on this platform here. We need to see the document to review it appropriately. You can book a legal consultation session charislegalpractice.com.ng/real-estate-law/real-estate-legal-consultation/.

    In a case where I bought a landed property from an Estate company and they said that I am covered with the documents drafted and signed by their lawyers, am I really save or what is my lawyer going to do differently from what has been drafted to avoid numerous expenses after the initial payment for the property?

      To protect your interests in real estate transactions, consider having your own independent professionals verify the work done by the other party.
      Think of it as an extra layer of protection for your investment.

    Whats the place of a receipt in property pirchase and how important is it?

    • @naijapropertybusinesslawyer

      A receipt simply shows money was paid and received . That’s the limit of the importance

    Hello. So what is the right thing when buying into an estate owned by developers. They always make you pay for deed, survey, and infrastructure. Which means their own lawyer gets to draft all the legal documents. This is the opposite of what you say should be. What should one do in that case?
    Is it also possible to get your contact details? Thanks

    • @naijapropertybusinesslawyer

      If the developer insists on their lawyers drafting then ensure you have your own lawyer review the documents and offer you legal advice on it ( to avoid stories that touch).
      We offer such services to our clients , click charislegalpractice.com.ng/real-estate-law/ to contact me . Thank you

    Is Deed of assignment the same with deed of conveyance?

    • @naijapropertybusinesslawyer

      Usually, the content is the most important factor.

      So what's the difference between deed of conveyance and deed of assignment?@@naijapropertybusinesslawyer

    • @samkateokeke7749

      @@PromiseObioma321 Since the Land Use Act came into force all lands have been held in custody for Nigerians by the governors of States and no one can have absolute ownership of land except by a long lease of usually 99 years which can be renewed. The Deed of Assignment can be given directly by the governor if the government allocates the land or his consent can be obtained if the transaction is a sale of land between private parties.. So a Deed of Conveyance covers absolute ownership of Land and a Deed of Assignment has replaced it because the Land Use Act has vested land in state governors as custodians for the Nigerian people
