Hi David, I feel safe now. “Reel” glad you posted. Thanks for such a good interview, mom and pop shops are hard business.

Hope the patient recovers quickly! Love the store, tough lead time though. AS I told you I brought mine in this week and it will be with a technician this coming Tuesday - although I have to pay quite a bit.

The Willsenton is a nice sounding tube amp in it's price range.

I guess he works on McIntosh also? I'll be needing to have some vintage McIntosh equipment looked at and probably recapped in the future. I have no idea how much that may cost nowadays? Do you know of any other DFW area shops David? I've heard of one on the Fort Worth side but never have been able to get the name of it at least yet. Thanks for the video.

Hi David - I have an old school Denon PMA770 and it does a great job to my ears. Should I feel any pressure to modernise?

If you enjoy what you’re hearing don’t feel compelled as although newer equipment can offer more bells and whistles, the core of older units are better IMO.

Hi David. Thanks for this. I have a QX-949 too. What's the symptoms you're having? Mine works great, phono makes a faint buzz, an 2 of my scope lights are out.

Phono stage has crackling noise. I use external phono stage for stereo but went to play CD-4 which requires use of phono inputs on unit to demodulate the 30khz signal and that’s when I discovered it.

@SafeAndSoundTXAudioExcursion have you updated your scope lights? Id love to find an easier fix to replace them with LEDs
