Andy's Wimbledon championship win was a much needed vindication of him after the treatment of him by the media, and a large portion of tennis fans. It still gets me how quickly many people changed their tune following winning Wimbledon.

He was cheered on for a very long time as British before he won anything, literally was beloved from his first Wimbledon when we crashed out with cramps. Winning was a nice moment for the nation, if he'd never won a thing, we'd have loved him all the same...maybe even more...that's being truly British 😅
