I'm so intrigued by unassisted home birth. I know you said Jon buried the placenta. Were you able to examine it to make sure it was complete first? Are there videos online about how to do that?
I do tried to do "all the things" after the birth of my kids- by the 4th one I finally realized how important it was to rest after the birth, and tried to rest as much as I could (husband had to go back to work 1 week postpartum which made it tricky) I'm hoping that when our own children have children- they change laws to make maternal and paternal leave mimic other countries where they really give the family unit the time it needs after birth to rest and bond with the new baby. For 3 of my kids, I went back to work postpartum at 6 weeks which was extremely challenging.

I have to say I loved the short that spoke of Genesis and that you understood the assignment. My husband and I have been married for what will be 33 years in November; and our son will turn 21 in November. We had Bryce on our 12th wedding anniversary. Here is our miracle baby and the only one. We tried and tried and tried to be fruitful, but unfortunately, that’s not what God held for us as far as childbearing. That’s OK because our child is amazing and our prayer is that he will bless us with lots of grandchildren. He loves children and even right now at 20 years old, he sees a baby and he has googly eyes. He doesn’t have a steady girlfriend… He is very picky. He has great taste in what he wants for a partner to be. She must be spiritual and a believer and want to serve. God. Her looks do not matter size does not matter
He loves from the inside out. I feel like we’ve raised a good man. Back to you and your family, though. What a joy… I am just teary-eyed and holding a smile from ear to ear watching you and your family. So, again, I thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us. ❤
