The Elite Upgrade lightens the StarLite by 5oz to keep the weight and bulk as low as possible without sacrificing strength, comfort or safety. The Standard version uses a 1.6oz top fabric and .9oz bottom fabric. The Elite Upgrade uses a 1.0oz top and .67oz bottom, which still allows a safe 300lb rating.

Superior Gear : If you're reading this I have a recommendation... Your website needs some organization improvements. I would recommend sorting things into groups like hammocks, quilts, tarps, suspension, accessories, bundles, etc. That would make it a lot easier for people who aren't familiar with your products to find what they're looking for.
Just some constructive criticism from a potential future customer who moves around a lot in his sleep and may benefit from an underquilt that is more likely to stay in place throughout the night.

I have a WBXLC that I love and could have slept like a baby if I would have been warm. I live in Mississippi, so it is very humid here even in cold weather. I was just thinking last night, "It's time for another Shug video". I just checked TH-cam, and there it is!
Maybe you've said it or done the video and I just don't recall - but if you could only have one hammock for all around general use, which one would it be?
For general use I always end up using my Warbonnet Traveler. Camping has only been in my Hennessy Expedition Zip (But I use a huge JRB tarp to give me a large covered area).
I'm leaning towards the big Blackbird.

I know this is unrelated to the video, but you are the only one I could think of that could give a knowledgable response.
I don’t like coffee. It’s hot, bitter and the taste is just not my thing. I do like to try new things and in the supermarket there was a “country food type sale” and I saw a bag labelled Greek-coffee and I never tried it so I might as well do it. If I don’t like it, my wife will drink it as long as I add enough milk.
Anyway, I read about it, it sounded interesting and tried it. Although I don’t have a briki, or a Demi-tasse, or a gas stove (induction), I tried it with the smallest pan and cup I have. First try was way to sweet (glykos) although I understand why people would like it, it wasn’t my thing. Tried it again with less sugar (metrios) and actually liked the taste, but I read about kaïmaki/foam but there doesn’t seem to be forming any. Now could this be because one of the following:
1- my pan is to wide making the foam dissipate through evaporation or something
2- the coffee needs to take longer/shorter to heat (not boil) to actually form this foam.
3- something I can’t think of is amiss.
Could you help and give any advice or suggestions?

    • @shugemery
      @shugemery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

More than likely needs the proper pot. Also needs to be taken on and off the heat about 3 times. I have a video on it. th-cam.com/video/F8Lb7Tu7_GY/w-d-xo.html

To Danny’s credit he’s been very professional in his email responses and even provided a discount due to the delay. Don’t need it until the fall so all good on that front. Thanks again.

Someone needs to do a comparison between Warbonnet and Superior Gear (Blackbird XLC vs Starlite). If I'm not mistaken, you have used both. Us hammock-newbies just need someone to tell us what to do and which hammock is the best to get started with. Ha!

Hey, this is awesome. I really like the whole set up. I guess you might have mentioned how very careful one should be with that interior Cloud 71 fabric. Know a couple people who have ruined it by a stray item hooking it. I tested one with an UQ attached and really liked it. This one is awesome for all year use. :)

    • @shugemery

I trust the Cloud7 with a second layer of Argon under it. Have seen a couple of reports of rips in single Cloud 7 single layers. I'm treating it as any other fabric to see how it holds up. Did not mention as I do not have all the facts.
