    You could loosen off the case bolts to install the oil pump easier.
    All the best👍🏾🇬🇧🛠

    Good stuff! Wish I would have done my own. I had uy who installed new pistons do it, and it leaks like crazy here! So irritating paying to have someone do it wrong at an actual shop. Guy also bent cooking find on heads by whacking them with a mullet to get off. Nice car love to see more of it.

      @@ahernandez9860 I will admit it, sometimes those heads will be stuck on the cylinders. Especially if they have been on there awhile. 043 castings are the worst for some reason. 🤠😎

    I install the pump housing into the left side of the case using two bolts while the case is split, then when I close things up its already in place and aligned without having to press it in.

    My 74 engine had a semi auto stick hooked up to it before. I have to change the pump it’s weird looking. I need to see which one I need. Great Video!

      It will most likely depend on what cam you're engine has in it. Early and aftermarket cams have a flat cam gear as to later engines which have a dished cam gear. I think 71 and later engines had the dished cam gear.

    I just watched your video and I got a question on your oil pump is that a remote pump where you'll have your oil filter set someplace else

      Yes, I always run a full flow oil filter set up. Thanks for watching.

    For a stock 1969 converted to the doghouse and 1600 dual-port, what is the best oil pump/oil pump size for my single relief case with stock crank, heads, rockers, cam, compression, and distributor?

      I like using a 26mm pump.

    Do you have a complete series of this whole build on this motor if you do let me know

    wouldn't vasoline be a better choice to prime the pump?

      I've always used grease, I have heard of people using pre-lube.

    Do you have to plug the case with the CB pump? I didn’t think you had to, but would like to know for sure.

      @ddk56vw  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always plug the case.
