If you're going to do this right now, and you have an old phone, don't forget to unlock Bootloader, OEM lock and USB debugging. It helps you when your phone shuts down for the last time. You can give it a 2nd chance. You can get a chance to unbrick your phone. If you're worry about security problems, then don't do what I said. Because if someone steals your phone, they can get access to your data. The only thing that can save you in this situation, is the FRP lock, which is hard to unlock without accessing your google account.
Vouch, I've unlocked and rooted all the phones I've ever used, put custom roms on it and everything, it's worth it if you can do with the security risks.
You dont need to unlock the bootloader on samsung technically u can still flash official firmware in download mode via odin i did it on my s23 ultra to get new update as it wasnt released for my region/network yet but i root all my phones and have since rooted it. I only just found out about this recently but 1 cool app with root and some form of xposed is pixelify gphotos u can trick google photos to giving u the unlimited free backup storage which pixel has

Another fact , if you have a game that's lagging then head to graphics driver preferences in the developer options then tap on the game and select system graphics driver and you may see a difference in the game performance
@Thusi Sibonelo this setting is helpful only for the lower to mid range devices . High end phones already have a powerful GPU paired with a powerful processor so they barely face any issues while gaming . But even though the gpu usage is capped by the system so by enabling system graphics driver through the developer options for a game disables the gpu usage limit and pushes the gpu harder to make the game run a bit better than before . If you have a good phones then don't bother doing this but it's helpful for lower end devices if they face any problems while gaming
I work in software development, I wouldn't recommend doing that necessarily, not all apps are optimized to handle faster animations or to have them disabled. You might start seeing weird bugs in some of your apps if you do this.
If you're on a MIUI (redmi) go to the top of settings, open about phone, open "detailed info and specs", spam click "MIUI version" now you're on dev mode. Go back to the front page of settings, scroll down and open "additional settings", scroll down and open "developer options"

I became developer but there is no developer option. Anyway, its makes the animations take longer which is actually making your phone slower but smoother to the eye. Not faster.
0.5 will make it feel faster but more rigid although 1.5 will make it feel more smoother but slower so i prefer to use the orignal 1x as it is fairley balanced
