I like how you compared whole range with illustrated differences, great job. Should be done more often in these reviews. I also feel like there is not enough focus on speaker systems which might make huge different across model range or in comparison with other piano brands.
Really torn as to which new piano to buy. Will pay a visit to your store in Reigate, but just wanted to get some background info first. These reviews are excellent for that. Thank you.
This piano is amazing you can play without headset and expect heavenly sound piano because internal speakers are very high end speakers and didn't have hisssss sound what so ever. I love my cn39 and that sound exactly like grand piano.
I thought it's only able to use midi Bluetooth and not the regular one. Does that mean it can receive audio through normal Bluetooth but cannot send it out itself?
@@mt2r-music Yes you are right, you can use Cn39 like Bluetooth speakers but it can't send Bluetooth audio. Just send Bluetooth midi. You can connect your iPad...
@Sina Nazari I don't know "ecapment" meant BUT that can meant Escapement. This comment is about CN or CA series that have more higher Yamaha or Roland you referring to. Kawai CN series and Kawai CA series have more reliable than any Roland series or Yamaha Series, respectively.
I have one of these, the speakers aren't the best and don't have a lot of bass, but the action is really precise and expressive and the sound with headphones is terrific
I tried the CN29, CN39, CA48 and CA98 today in the store. And the difference between the extra bass speakers was astounding. The 39 sounded so much more like a grand piano, deep resonant bass notes. The 29 frankly didn’t much different from my CN23, nor for that matter did the 48 even with its nicer keys. The 98 felt special and grand but for tao times less money I would be hard pressed not to choose the 39.
Best review and showed Miles more interesting stuff than all other reviewers. Would go to you if I lived in the UK in the South. Think I would get the rosewood...
I love your playing - I'm a lover of ballands and that was such a wonderful intro. Celine. nice keyboard for those who need one in this format - stationary piano....digital
Great review thx!!! You think the standard settings are the best for the cn39? Or can you give me some ideas for the VT Settings? I'm owner of the cn39, and when I play a piece like river flows in you I can't find really good settings, maybe you can help?
hi there, can you give me a view on the merit of the cn39 over the ES8...I know that one is portable, I dont need the portability so am I losing anything by buying the cn39? thanks
I just bought cn39 month ago, this piano is closest to feel real grand piano and sound engine is the best in digital piano world. Even without headset you can hear very clear sound because that have tweets in higher notes.
Your videos are very informative, thank you. From a beginners point of view how much of a difference do you think the upgraded speaker sysytem makes. I mean between cn29 and cn39.
h isbilir i tried it today in the store. And the difference is huge! So much more bass in the 39. It really feels much more like playing a grand piano.
I hope you get this digital piano, CN29 AND CN39 have a BIG difference in speaker system, literally 2 speaker systerm vs 4 system. You will hear higher notes more clearly than cn29 in cn39. If you use only headsets, there are no differences, if you want impress anyone CN39 will be a prefer piano because it is almost better play without headset in that piano. Sound system in superior in CN39, you will hear higher notes better, bass sounds came from down point speakers and higher sounds came out from upper point speakers. You can connect Bluetooth to Apple product in CN39 but you can't connect in CN29 what so ever and you will miss some stage piano features and some polyphony and dual piano learning process. CN39 is great to future proof, to yourself and your children. I have CN39 Kawai piano.
From their website: stream audio from songs and videos directly through the instrument’s premium amplifier and speaker systems", so it certainly sounds like it.
CA48 has 2 tweeters CN29 hasn't, but overall power is the same. Technically CA48 should sound slightly better. CA58 though has much better sound system (2x50W) than CN29/39/CA48 (all 2x20W)
@@amazon1 no regrets as far as performance and playability goes. I did play this one compared to the cheaper CN series which has the plastic action keys and I felt a noticeable difference. The CA series felt better, more like a real piano. Only thing I wish it had would be an auto-power off feature and multi-track recording (instead of the single track) although neither of those things are deal breakers. The slow strings sounds very good and the piano samples are great. The speakers are definitely loud enough.

Have you tried them? That's the only way you're going to know which one is better. The CN39 has more features than the CA48 but the CA48 has wooden action, the CN39 has plastic action.
Efe Mert Aydın it feels great, sounds fantastic. Made by a company that only builds pianos, no lawn mowers or helicopters. You can't go wrong with a Kawai.
If you are buying it only for personal usage and care only about piano play, than you need to choose between CN29 and CA48. But if you are buying a keyboard for a family or band/studio I suggest to look at CN39 and CA58. Both these pianos has audio inputs/outputs, USB to device, bluetooth audio, integrated drum patterns and more CN29/CA48 hasn't.
