- A way to “beef up” your trucks rear suspension without making it feel like a “farm truck”. For those of us who occasional haul or tow heavy loads that make our truck squat and feel unstable here is product that can help. This is an overview of the RoadActive Suspension (RAS) kit, install on my Ford F-150, a test dive, and my assessment of the product.
After years of over loading and killing my half ton trucks I finally got a GMC 2500HD gas burner and its the berries. Tows, stops and handles a load so much better.
Yeah did the same thing, was blown away how much better my 3/4 ton carries a load vs my 1500 with an add a leaf pack. Night and day
So the moral of the story is too buy the right tool for the job 🤷♂️
@@chadcampbell4970 No,I think the moral of the story is some folks get upset when they watch these videos and realizethey spent all that money for a heavy duty truck, and maybe didn’t have to. Lol. In all seriousness, I’ve got some experience with these,Timbrens and airbags, and I got to say these things are pretty darn cool. I was able to stay at the half ton level and get me a hybrid F150 with a 7200 W generator on board, something not available on any heavy duty truck. Not to mention, I get better, gas mileage and I’m still able to do all the stuff I need to do without issue thanks to devices like these.
Great video, thank you! I installed the HD kit in my '22 Tremor and got the exact same results.
Great video. A lot of great info in a short video. Yes I will buy one from watching your video, but they don’t give them away.
I enjoyed your video. It was instructive and helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
would like to see a follow up video on 6 month performance
Really good video, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
To avoid the back being higher install a 2” leveling kit and the RAS and you’ll get the best of both of them💯
Great video. 👍
Thanks
Great video
Thanks!

Cool.
You are the real deal
My sheep love you
Review the instructions....install this with axle hanging free, wheels can stay on but safety stands at the frame are a must.
If you have a goose neck or 5thwheel just go get a 2500
Great video thank you!....So with the bale of hay in the bed what was the net squat difference with RAS installed? You mentioned the squat was raised by 1" with the hay with the RAS system vs. stock, but how much squat was there with the hay empty vs loaded with RAS installed for both? My slide in camper weighs about the same so trying to find out how much squat past unloaded height w/RAS there will be. Sorry if that's a confusing question...do you still have the measurement data? Also with the hay did you notice if the system kept the leafs from flattening or even reversing?
I’ll have to look back and see if I can find those measurements.
No answer..hummm

6 months in have your thoughts on the sytem changed any?
I just recently traded my 1/2 ton in for a 3/4 ton. I haul nearly every week and I was just pushing it a little too hard. However, I took the RAS off before trading and could tell a noticeable difference. Even though the 3/4 ton probably doesn't need it for what I'm hauling, I'm considering putting RAS on it. RAS doesn't turn a 1/2 ton into a 3/4 ton, but it definitely helps when pulling heavy loads.
@@rollingofarm How? Does it add more HP, move more weight to the steering axle, or prevent the load from shifting?
My Silverado 1500 hd snickers at your furd 150 I guess that’s why its a 150 and not 1500 lol 😂
fords have a heavier towing capacity then chevy's, so what's your point?
@@davidbourquebourquie8254 ford's are also not owned 50% by china like GM is. Coming from a dodge guy. Don't believe me, look it up. I'll never own a chevy ever again. Ford or Ram for the foreseeable future for me.
@@davidbourquebourquie8254but in a shop broke down more so
Next time you lift your truck with a floor jack put the stand under and lower it please. When i put my RAS on I did it the same way but my jack had a failure and the stands didn't catch the truck and pinned my leg under the rotor. Nothing broken but those f150s are heavy. Haha
I did have two jackstands under the frame, but I do appreciate the warning. I hope you didn’t have permanent damage from the jack failure.
@Rolling "O" Farm nothing broken and all is well.
