I had a 2007 Range Rover 400hp V8 Autobiography during 7 years (probably one of the finest made of its kind then - everything was tailor made to the previous owners choice in high gloss black w white light glasses), I bought it from a celebrity who hardly used it, for about 50.000£ (new price 150.000£). I plowed through 70cm of snow on a highway in 90km/h, and it went straight as an arrow while other cars and rescue vehicles, police cars, were stranded in the other lane...I also plowed the upward driveway to my appartement complex garages by driving up and down, up and down, helping my neighbours get their cars in. Wanna park in a 60% slope? Done! It was such a wonderful bloody beast. It went like a fierce Cherub on wheels when I floored it despite it's 2,8 tonnes. There was nothing you felt that car could not do - with a 850w 14 speaker system etc on full blast you felt like in heaven...I liked the old square design better than the new one, although I know it's a better car - but looks-wise; it was like the RR Phantom - square, British, and with Jaguars engine it became an altered beast compared to the 286bhp BMW engines (I had that in a tuned up 540i which I topped at 270 km/h on Autobahn) but it was never as smooth with the BMW engine and that gearbox as the Range Rover I had. I miss it like an old loved pet...Rule Britannia!
Lovely interior i must say, the leather, wood, brushed aluminum and other materials used make this cabin top notch. The SV Autobiography even takes the luxurious feel even higher. My only gripe seems to be from the infotainment which seemed to lag a bit when you played around with different menus and options.
Thank you for this video. I think it's the best Range video for the 2018 I've seen yet. 99% are stock videos with an old thin British man with his socks.
Finally a 2018 RR review, I don’t know how you get in but great job. On the Rover, it looks great, update was needed. Only problem now is that with the G-class new and improved, now I think it is competitive with the Range Rover when it comes to luxury. New G has all the S class interior, luxury at its best. What do you guys think?

I happen to talk to an owner of a 2016 Range Rover. I ask him about vehicle quality and reliability. I said it was excellent, especially after Ford took over. I didn't know Ford acquired them nor do I know the Land Rover history. Just repeating what the owner said.
@Alaatin i have always been interested, if it came down to your personal preference which vehicle would you go for the 2018 range rover sport or the Mercedes G class 2019? I'm a range rover lover but mercedes have done an incredible job with the interior of their g class it's a beast on the outside and S class on the inside
recap- 2018 range rover has a better looking exterior in front but is hideous in the rear. but on the interior it is definitely better looking. the V8 supercharged model now produces 518 hp than the previous supercharged model which was 510 Hp.
This is nice, but there's too much going on with it electronically and the $125,000 price tag is too much in my opinion. I can't imagine anyone spending that much time inside of this vehicle at any given time to even deal with the number of operational features that it has. It's just too much going on inside of this vehicle, which presents a distraction and potential danger on the road.

the g-class will drive horribly compared to the range rover . it is a box and has the aerodynamics of a fridge. no technology can overcome that.
