When Maleficent first comes out as the Dragon she does breathe the fire, usually it shoots out too but didn’t this time around. There was also a fairly long delay before the fire in the lagoon started, this particular show seemed to have a few issues throughout. Thank you for watching!
In all 3 versions of the Disneyland show fantasmic i think this is what happens when mickey mouse defeats maleficent and the Disney villains who are helping her mickey shoots a blast of magic at maleficent that electrocutes her then the magical blast causes a chain reaction that destroys them all KABOOM no more villains

The dragon usually breathes fire and sets the water on fire, at the most recent one this month. Did it change??
