Thanks! Going on our first cruise next month, and I was afraid I would do something wrong with these tags. It says fold in order indicated but there was no order indicated. Then I thought surely someone has posted a video on this. And here you were!
Thanks for this video. I'm in my 40s and I'm going on my first cruise next week. I figured it would be like airlines where they print off a sturdy luggage tag. When I first saw the printout luggage tag I was like "What is this?" I figured someone would save me some time by figuring out how to this. I love the tape idea.
Thanks for the tip. The tape makes it more robust. I didn't even realize this was considered 1 tag. When I printed them out I thought it was 2 tags. I just went with the staples though as I don't have a hole punch; I'd have to use a drill.
I bought plastic sleeves for these tags on Amazon. Our luggage will probably be in the rain at some point, and they will transfer to our cruise next year. Silly but I feel much more comfortable with something a little more sturdy on my luggage. The plastic sleeve has a small metal cable to attach it to your suitcase. The cable has a screw closure so it can be put on or taken off your luggage over and over, much sturdier than folded paper.
Thanks. Probably should write name on tag before applying the tape. I came here because the instructions printed on the tags are so poor. It says to fold in the order indicated yet there is no order indicated. On the back it indicates a scissor cut and on the front it says do not cut.
Good video but I don't know if mine will be okay....what I did was I put the packing tape over the middle printed strip and cut on either side of the tag. It's super strong and water proof. Do you think this will pass?
I knew someone would post on how to fold this page. Thank You for making life so much easier.
Hahahaha same and I was hoping I wasn't the only one who looked at the tag and thought "ahh crap" lol so glad for TH-cam
Seriously! The template did my head in. Thanks for saving the day!
This is the best video regarding luggage labels. Thank you so much.

Are those tags for carry on too?? Or just for the check in luggage?
Only checked luggage need the tags. The tags are how they know what cabin to deliver the luggage too.
Thank you very much sir
Thank you
Good stuff!
Thanks so much for this👍
Perfect thank you
Brilliant, thank you ;-)
Why do all that folding? Why not just cut the sides off and then fold it over?
You want it to be thick else it will rip off when the porters are handling your bags. We actually use the plastic sleeves now days.
what did you print?????
Luggage tags will be the last page of your cruise documents. You just print out how many of them you will need.
it would be upside down
How so? The tags are designed so that if you connect them at the bottom, they will be able to be read from either side.
Honestly, shame on these cruise companies for making us do this!
You can barely hear the audio.
