There are many active compounds in the neem tree. The most common are
a) Azadirachtan :provides repellant, antifreedant properties.
b) Nimbin: anti inflammatory, anti fungal, anti pyretic properties
c) Nimbidin : anti bacterial, anti ulcer, analgesic and anti fungal
properties
d) Nimbidol :anti tubercular, anti protozoan, anti pyretic properties
e) Salannin: repellant properties
f) Quercetin : anti protozoal, antioxidant, anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties
Neem has been used as a botanical insecticide for many hundreds of years.

The main component found in neem leaves, kernels that acts as bio Insecticide and repellent is azadirachtin and it acts as repellent antifugant and interrupts in sperm of males and hence protects our crop.
I have used it in my organic farm and it results best when used morning and evening. For Army worm it works best.
