I'm only 8 minutes and I'm already finding this so helpful. I've been told my whole life I need to have a credit score in order to buy a home. I am like the people you have mention I have a zero credit score do to not wanting to have any debt I don't need a fancy car, I don't need top of the line products that would need me to have a credit card. But I do want to own my own home and in a nice area for kid's.

Cutting the cc means there is no excuse to use them to make the bill higher. I stayed out of the stores, and I used what I had at home. After I paid the cc bills in full, I called the cc companies to have replacement cards mailed to me. Regarding food, I would go to my local food pantries. I told the ppl at the food pantries that I have a job but experiencing hardship. They gave me extra. Also, at the food pantry, I received toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dish soap, sanitary items, toothpaste, lotion, etc. I told them I was experiencing hardship, which wasn’t a lie. Going to the food pantries/local churches really helped me to put my bills back into control. So, call your local food pantries go and get your free items, stop using ur cc. When you get on your feet then you can donate back to those who helped you. It’s okay to ask for help, everyone needs help. But all I ask is that you learn from your mistakes and control your spending. I just want to leave you with this... When I experienced cc debt, I had 8 cc. I worked hard to pay them all off. My cc limit was very high, like combined cc limit of 20k. Now... I have 3 cc. I refuse to have 8 cc again, and the combined cc limit is $1500., I have $500. on each card. This is more manageable for me. My cc companies wants me to increase my cc limit and I tell them NO WAY. Another thing Keisha, leave ur cc at home. Do not carry them in your purse. If you always carry ur cc in ur purse there’s the excuse to use them all the time. I put my cc in a home safe behind a lock and getting to them to use them is challenging. Do not file bankruptcy for under 10k! Make some serious changes with a budget in place. Get out from under that car loan, even if you have to drive a bucket for the next year. Can you rent a room out?
