fikret is right, though. defne is afraid because she knows her relationship is built on sand. Doesn't mean it isn't a good relationship, but that foundation needs to be fixed post haste.
i don't get neriman's angle here. i would think she'd be delighted for fikret to get involved. and fikret now has a better understanding of what defne was up against.

Add to that when he was mumbling something, barely pronounced what he wanted to say; when he shouted the name of Derya & Defne repeated it fearfully almost on the verge of crying. Last, when Omer stood up, moved his neck side to side with a cricking sound and his face & hands ready for a fight. The very last one, looking at Selim with fiery eyes (similar to Tranba), that turn soft in seconds - got me feeling scared, too!
Omer's eyes looked wild....like a caged animal......ah love it.

Ömer says, he's not like a normal man- he goes a little crazy. The translation is more to the effect of: "This is how it is, to make you nervous. Sometimes, I get very angry, so I go to a place where I do a lot of sports. (Trying to warn him how fit he is!) But sometimes that doesn't work. Do you understand? There's one more thing...what is it? I hate people who interfere in a relationship behind their backs, when they know they're with someone else. I get so angry when they don't stop. So we have an agreement. From now on there will be no communication with Defne. I don't want to hear from you, Ok? Stay away." Selim says, "ok" and Ömer says, "Good job. Come on! Good luck!"
When Defne comes back to his office and asks Ömer if he was ok: "Yes, fine, fine. We talked very nicely. Too bad, he didn't even object! I was going to beat him so well!" 😂 At the end of the scene, Defne tells him she was so scared because she could almost see fire coming out of his eyes. "I learned one thing today! To never make you angry!"
But what does he says to Fikret when she confesses her love for him, trying to come between him and Defne? "I don't want to hurt you." Ugh. Then, he does proceed to hurt her anyways. I have to give him that.... He left her with NO hope. But I hate that he keeps that secret from Defne, and doesn't apologize to validate her earlier "paranoia".
I've watched the Spanish Subtitled version and that one is better translated. I've noticed almost the entire series in English is mistranslated, in a very watered down way. But something is better than nothing, I guess. They bring the point across anyways.

Omer thought no harm or suspect that fikret’s dinner invitation is none other than a business dinner. Omer has ZERO IOTA of romantic feeling towards Fikret. He lets fikret know before, when she inquired about the “phoenix”, that he doesn’t want to talk about it - meaning it’s personal as if to tell her “You fikret, a business acquaintance, don’t have to ask me about it.”
Fikret deserves all the humiliation of being rejected- can’t wait to see the egg hit her face. Omer told Fickret twice he has a girlfriend and then told her he has a fiancé. He never gave her any reason to think she had a chance.

Omer doesn’t need to be having dinner meetings at this woman’s apartment………if it is business it that can be done at his office or maybe at restaurant at lunch time with Sinan or others involved especially when he knows how Defne feels about Fikret. Omer can’t stand another man showing an interest in Defne but he likes spending time with other women. He encourages these women to go after him by not setting any boundaries. Omer needs to grow up and control his behavior around other women if he truly is ready to commit to one woman only. This is a problem he needs to deal with and stop hurting Defne. He has a history of encouraging these women to hang around with him like he did with Yasmin, Iz, Feryar, and now Fikret. Omer is responsible for his actions. Nihan's laugh is infectious, can't help myself from laughing everytime she does that magical laugh! Defne is a brilliant and versatile actress, she can be funny if she wants to and be dramatic as well. She and Omer truly great artists, their facial expressions esp. Omer is phenomenal. Sad, happy, excited, naughty, seductive, devious, you can see it on his face without trying hard. watching from the 🇵🇭♥️♥️♥️
I disrespect people like Fikret.. she first publicly announced that she doesn't like Omer, then she sits on his desk as if he is her friend.. then she puts a show that she is helping the orphanage. I can’t help but laugh when Koray and Omer meet. Omer always looks so pained when crazy Koray talks on and on and on, like his ears are bleeding. It’s so funny.
Omer is verrrrrrrrrry patient with Koray. But when he tells him to “Stop”; or “Enough talking.” Koray would do so. Koray is afraid of Omer but hides it by doing all the talks & crazy antics. Everybody, actually, is afraid of Omer esp when he’s very quiet, because they don’t know what he’ll do. Oftentimes, he doesn’t do anything to them. They just keep quiet, avoid him and/or do practically everything he wants them to do - again because Omer is right, good at what he does.

He tells Selim that he doesn't like it when someone comes on to a person that's in a relationship but he calls Fikret brave when she does it. One standard for Omer and another for Defne. SMH
Given their history and influence she had on him when she gave him the Phoenix, it was the classy way to let her down. 🤷♀️
Omer took Fikret’s dinner invitation as “business dinner” - nothing else. Whereas Selim purpose is one thing else - his dinner invitation is to rehash their “relationship” in case he has a chance, never mind the fact that Defne is engaged. So which one is worse - Omer, who thinks of Fikret’s invitation as business or Selim’s bad intention?

He should have told her that he'd be glad to meet with her about business during business hours. Omer doesn't set boundaries with other women the way he should. and he dismisses Defne when she calls hm on it.

Selim had not sent anything to Defne at this point and Ömer did not know what Fikret's intentions were either. He was used to women swirling around him but he made it clear to Fikret that they were only friends. And he still talks about Defne as his fiancée.
Only Fikret, shrewd as she is, uses the phoenix to influence Ömer's feelings and the borrowed amount and the secret to Defne. In this way she apparently wants to cause a rift between them.
Finally, Ömer took drastic action when Fikret declared her love for him: he took the phoenix down from the wall.

Omer is somehow unfair, its ok for him to make decisions just like that but Sinan can't. He wants to do business with fikret even though he knows how defne feels about her.
Perhaps Ömer would have reacted differently if he had known the real reason for Cherie and Tramba's breakup? Yasemin met Ömer halfway and let Defne transfer to Passionis despite Tramba's explicit demand that Defne stay. By doing so, Yasemin caused her own bankruptcy.
But she didn't even tell Sinan.
Correct she lost her company but kept quiet and didn't tell anyone the reason. She changed a lot thanks to Iso.

Sinan did tell that Traamba was Cherie's secret partner but they could not imagine that Defne's move to Passionis could have consequences for Cherie and Yasemin. In the end, Defne was her main bait to calm Tramba down.

But you’ll learn in season 2 the reasons for Defne not telling Omer the truth up to that point. There are other unbelievable things at play. Amazing the obstacles that Defne has had to face. The world that Defne was forced into because of her love for Omer. She couldn’t just walk away.

Es injusto que Defne además de tener que llevar un gran peso todavía tenga que lidiar con las mujeres que quieren a Omer, pero él es el que provoca esas situaciones por no sacar a esas mujeres de su vida. Ocurrió antes con Iz.
Omer amenazó con golpear a Selim para deshacerse de él . Le dijo que hace mucho ejercicio para controlarse, pero a veces no lo consigue.
Lo amenaza con usar la fuerza bruta. Defne usó su inteligencia femenina y su seguridad en el amor de él y consiguió que Omer echara a Fikret de sus vidas definitivamente.
Era necesario llegar hasta el punto de que Galo le declarara su amor a Omer para que él se diera cuenta de que se equivocó. Defne tenía razon en reclamarle por esa mujer. No estaba paranoica.

Hay poca empatía y comprensión por Defne en algunas espectadoras. Y sí, ya Omer se arrepentirá y se culpará por sus malas acciones y decisiones, pero eso ocurrirá hasta que la pierda, no antes

The two are incomparable. Defne never had the luxury of having a clean slate in the game. She came into Omer's life not so pleasantly trying to save her brother's life and has been forced to lie and hide things throughout. So how are they to compare on how they handle matters? Also, Selim didn't come sneaking as Fikret. He was direct with his interactions and actions towards Defne. Furthermore, even of Defne told Omer Fikret's intentions towards him, he straight away shot her down & said she is being paranoid. So, the situations for the two are incomparable.
It's annoying how dafne is always turning down her fiance.. Omer clearly desires her but she acts so Childshily😅
Wants to be loved only by him. The magic is there but cautious. Can’t blame her. Not sure he stays celibate when they separate after the annulment that is yet to come. She probably knows when he finds about the love for rent scheme he will not stay for her. 😭

Selim invites Defne to dinner, and he blows a fuse… Fekrit invites Ömer to dinner (under the guise of work), and he sees nothing wrong with that? He can’t be that ignorant! He knows how Defne feels about Fikret, so to honor her, he should keep it completely professional and distant.
I agree. There is definitely a double standard at play here, but he doesn't go so there is that anyway. Yet, he doesn't hold Fikret to the same standard when she tries to interfere in his relationship which irks me.

i think he probably improvised half of them. sometimes you see other actors smile and I'm not sure if that's scripted or just breaking character. How could they not? Koray is over the top. Loved the opening scene when the men are all getting dressed. First sinan, then omer and then comes koray in his pink robe

Omer is hilarious in his jealous fit with Dr Selim, he is ok flirting with all the different women in the series, hanging out with Iz at bars, graffiti in middle of the night, Iz coming to his house whenever, Ferkit coming to his house all hours (waiting in backyard for him) inviting him for dinner, he was at her house at night alone but went CRAZY that Dr Selim sent Defne flowers and candy. Double standard for sure while engaged to Defne having meeting alone at Ferkit’s house? Business meeting’s should be held at office or restaurant especially when alone and he is engaged, come on Omer NOT right!

When Omer went to his old house looking for Defne & found her there, got a tongue lashing on from her about Eda, he told her about Eda - Defne suspected Omer & Eda were together at some point. In this convo, Omer told Defne that he would never another woman, that he was just helping Eda because when he was in Rome alone she was always there for him. Eda was hurt at the dance. Omer brought her to the hospital. She went through physiotherapy & psychological therapy. When he left she was already well. The vid in Omer’s computer from Eda was her way of letting Omer know that she’s doing ok & is dancing again - NOT what Defne was suspecting, egged on by Nihan (again). Defne never asked Omer about it. Instead, she drew her own wrong/bad conclusion - as was her habit - & made Omer the bad one. Omer told her in due time that he’ll tell her about it. But Defne being Defne did something that hurts both of them.
Omer has a business relationship with fikret - nothing more nothing less. He doesn’t mix business with pleasure & he keeps things that way. He’s aware about Fikret’s feeling for him but he can’t just outright tell her. But eventually he did.

Okay so Defne sold her design to Deniz for money, Iso too sold his car for money for Deniz and yet she had to borrow 2000000 from Fikret. Now, she doesn't even thinks about returning that money..Defne is turning to be more selfish in each episode.
I thought this too- obviously Fikret is crossing a line with Omer but Defne is speaking to her so crazy for someone who handed her 200,000 no questions asked. And not thinking about Iso’s car after all he’s done for her. I am finding it hard to get through this show.

Tuvo que soportar, solo una mínima parte de lo que Defne soportó en el pasado.
De sus faltas de respeto y de ser humillada por Omer al lado de las mujeres que lo perseguían.
Ahora a él le toca sufrir por un hombre que lo desafía abiertamente, como antes lo hizo Fikret con ella. Tuvo que ver a Pamir en la casa de Defne, como Defne vió a Iz a la que invitó a dormir. La diferencia es que Defne lo respeta y no coquetea con Pamir. Él sí coqueteó con ellas y con su comportamiento les dió esperanzas. Porqué se tiene que llegar hasta ese momento para que Omer reaccione? Porqué esas mujeres se atreven a confesarle su amor? De dónde sale esa seguridad? Claro, si han visto que Omer no respeta a Defne. Si piensan que Omer es capaz de dejarla por ellas es por el comportamiento ambiguo de Omer porque no tiene una postura clara con las mujeres. Si desde un principio se mostrara como un hombre inaccesible e inalcanzable ellas se irían sin tener que declararse con él.
Omer ni por Defne fue capaz de sacar por voluntad propia a esas mujeres con las que la lastimó. Todavía a Iz le dijo que quería que se quedara. Qué decir del libro, furioso porque Defne pensó que Pamir se lo regaló. Bueno, el inteligente Omer creyó que una mujer como Yasemin le compró Orgullo y Prejuicio y hasta pretendió irse con ella de su fiesta sin importarle los demás.
Peor aún habérselo prestado a Iz.
Le exige a Defne que se aleje de Pamir. Él se alejó de Fikret cuando Defne le decía que esa mujer lo quería? No!! Al contrario, la llamó paranoica y siguió trabajando muy de cerca con esa mujer con la que se atrevió a humillarla públicamente.
Defne soportó tanto, luchó tanto por ellos y Omer ya se estaba rindiendo. No dice que la ama? Cuando vió a Pamir con Defne ya se había arrepentido de haber regresado!!!!
Dicen que la quiso proteger antes de Pamir, pero la deja sola con el hombre en quien no confía! La dejó a merced de Pamir sola en su casa con él. Es tan contradictorio. Si no hubiera descubierto en ese momento el juego de su tía, se hubiera ido otra vez?
Omer aprendió su lección se dio cuenta de que tiene que respetar a Defne defenderla y protegerla como nunca antes lo hizo.
@@gailahanour4146 Personally, I wouldn't call it Karma for any of the three. All three of them knew very quickly that they had no chance and were wasting their time. Pamir's presence was more useful than that of Iz and Fikret: he forced Omer to fight for Defne and ultimately become the ideal man with whom she could crystalize her miracle.
Karma was also there for Omer who ruined his friend Alp's wedding day due to his meddling and the draft debacle with Vanni.
He had used Vanni's name in season 1 to torpedo Fikret's show with Cherie.

I do not have double standards. Men treat woman different when they fire them or to let them down . than Men with a man.I have no problem with Defne being around men only Pamir . He is an asshole. Defne has men working under her in season 2 have no problem with them, I do not blame Omer I blame the women being stupid to think they can get him. Yamsin hanging all over him. Defne and Omer were not in a relationship then. Iz she was just plain pitiful . Iz knew Omer heart belongs to Defne and tried for a month. Than iz comes running back . But thinks if she not always with omer he would think of her more.Sad! Fikert ! She really stupid . She Meets Omer at 17 and talks to him maybe 10 minutes and say what about us. Come on! If Omer was a real pig of a man Omer could have took all of them and had sex with all of them , but Omer was not that type of men. These women were all sad in their actions.
